Just passed the 60,000 mile mark on our 2013 VW Passat and it looks and drives as nicely as the day we drove it off the dealer's lot. We've not had any mechanical issues nor any manufacturer recalls. Paint still looks great, the interior has barely worn, and even the floor mats are looking new. Love the leg room both front and rear and plenty of room in the trunk for a mid-size sedan. Road performance is adequate for a daily driver and the fuel economy is decent. Have made more than a few trips in excess of 500 miles on one tank of gas - just as advertised!

This leaves you driving in both comfort and confidence. Volkswagen build the Passat's frame with both front and rear crumple zones that are designed to help absorb crash impacts, while a rigid safety cage deflects the crash energy away from the driver and passengers. The car also has an (ICRS) which is an intelligent response system. This is in the most unfortunate event of a crash five airbags are deployed as well as, the ICRS can switch off the fuel pump, and even unlock the doors, and engage the hazard lights. These are things the driver may not be able to do in the event of an accident.
