The 2012 Volkswagen Tiguan is an all-around great car. Its a compact SUV which handles great but its not the roomy SUV some people expect. The performance of this vehicle is amazing with great pickup and smooth handling. When I first drove it I was scared I was going to get a speeding ticket because I didn't realize how fast I was going! The interior is not over the top but you can tell it is a quality made car with all the features we look for these days.

One of the first is the active carbon build-up that occurs in the engine. In order to achieve more power and improved gas mileage, the fuel is injected in a way that doesn't allow oil to be washed off the cylinders. As a result, the oil bakes onto the engine and needs to be removed by a costly procedure every 40,000-60,000 miles. This procedure is approximately $900. Additionally, the rear brake rotors need to be changed every time the brake pads are changed. Due to the electronic parking brake, this cannot be completed at home. Expect to pay nearly $700 for this service. Overall, the vehicle is not nice enough to incur these outrageously charged services.
