I really do. It has enough room for all of my and my son's things. And when we moved last year, the seats folding down enabled us to fit more stuff in a small space. The back seats even pull up to help the seat lay down fully flat. The only con I have is that the AC has problems. First I had to replace the blower motor, then the compressor, then the next year I had to replace the compressor again. This summer went off without a hitch, so I hope my streak continues, but for now, we are awesome. She gets good gas mileage and is fairly easy for maintenance. And Ford updates me regularly of any recall items.
Story
There are a lot of Escapes on the road that look like mine and I stood for about 15 minutes trying to unlock a truck that wasn't mine.
Pros
The truck has lots of space and doesn't feel too cramped. I switched from a Corolla and the truck handles beautifully in comparison. Low costs for repairs are a big plus as well. The paint, despite living in the desert sun, has not begun to chip or fade and the interior, despite being ravaged by a 3 year old, still looks new. Really good gas mileage both in town and on the highway and the engine purrs. Easy to access the rear gate and easy to lock. The truck even runs its own health report and sends an update. I really appreciate the low tire pressure sensor.
Cons
The AC seems to be in constant need of repair. This summer we did alright, but I have owned her 3 years and changed the blower motor and 2 compressors. The maintenance is otherwise not too bad, but wow, those AC repairs add up. The only other con I have is the weight. I live in the land of the sandstorm and the truck isn't heavy enough not to move when the wind hits it. This is especially scary on the highway with 18 wheelers.

WE have now owned this 2005 Ford Escape for ten years and it has been great, for the most part. About a year after we bought the car the engine seized, but was replaced because it was still under factory warranty. Other than that, it has been a perfect car. It rides quite well and is quiet on the interior. It has over 100,000 miles now and still drives like new. The interior has held up very well, with little signs of wear and tear. The exterior paint still has a great finish and has held up to the elements better than expected. It has been very useful with a growing family with enough space for a car seats and all of the stuff that has to be carried around when there is a family with young children. It has plenty of space in the back for luggage when traveling, to sleep in if camping ... (more)
Story
My wife and I actually took it to Apache Lake one year and instead of a tent, we slept in the back with the seats folded down. It was perfect for us. It had plenty of leg room to stretch out all of the way, which was great considering I'm 6'1". We just backed it into the water and fell asleep to the little ripple in the water near the shoreline.
Pros
Spacious Interior Gas saving Handles nicely Lost cost of ownership High quality materials used in interior
Cons
Blown engine first year of owning A bit small for family with more than one child

The sales rep worked diligently to find me financing, when I thought I would be completely ineligible. On top of that, she found a car that was in excellent condition and explained clearly to me both its benefits and drawbacks. Every time I've been in to this dealership, I've been treated as if I were a special customer, even when I was in there for free repairs due to an intermittent issue.

This was my second purchase from Galpin Ford. I dealt with the fleet area in order to trade-in my 2WD 2002 Ford Expedition for a 2011 4WD Ford Expedition. Even though it was late in the evening and I had been there since late that afternoon the salesman was patient. I knew the type of vehicle I wanted and needed so the only hang-up was pricing. The salesman and fleet manager worked for hours to get me to my desired monthly payment and gave me an acceptable trade-in value which was a big sticking point for me.
