I was hesitant about buying the Escape because I've always had smaller cars. But as our family was expanding, our car needed to keep us. I love that the Escape drives and handles very easily and has several features that make it seem more compact; the blind spot mirrors are great, as is the three way adjustable seat so my short 5 feet frame can drive and be comfortable just as much as my 6 foot 6 inch husband. I love the gas mileage, which was better than my smaller car, and it is roomy enough for two adults, two carseats, and our two dogs in the back. One of the best parts of owning the vehicle was the purchasing experiences. Our Ford dealership was absolutely delightful.
Story
I don't really have any stories.
Pros
The major positives about the Ford Escape include the comfortable surroundings. The seats are great and the driver's seat adjusts both up and down as well as forward to back. The console navigation, entertainment, and climate control system is fantastic and easy to use even if you aren't technologically savvy. My absolute favorite parts of the this vehicle are the seat warmers and the his and her climate control--I can be toasty warm in my seat while my husband has his vents set much cooler.
Cons
Honestly, the only thing I've found to complain about this car is the lack of places to put my cell phone while driving. There are exactly two cupholders in the front, and if both people have a drink there isn't anywhere else to sit a phone. In my previous vehicle I had a third "catch all" spot in the console for other objects, but no so for this one. Ditto for a spot for my sunglasses or garage door opener. That's my only complaint.

I love my 2008 Ford Escape. This is the 2nd Ford Escape I have purchased. The size is ideal, not too big not too small. It's perfect considering I live in the country and travel a lot of bumpy dirt roads that a car just doesn't handle well. The vehicle performs very well on the dirt roads, and also handles very well on the highway. I love the fact that the seats fold down flat in the back, creating plenty of room. Seats five people comfortably. Plenty of room for storage. Love the big center console and the 4 cup holders. The chrome wheels where my favorite. Good turning radius. Very easy to maneuver in tight spaces and easier to park. Sensitive, but responsive steering. Power windows and mirrors, remote central locking, leather covered tilt adjustable steering wheel, remote audio and ... (more)
Pros
Small enough to easily fit into small parking spaces. Love how the back seats fold flat to haul things. lumbar adjustment
Cons
I found it odd the vehicle didn't have any ash trays. Seats stain very easily.
