1995 Ford Explorer - There's a reason you can't marry a truck
Wow. Where do I start on my truck? I have owned my dark blue Ford explorer (exploder for you Ford haters) for about 8 years now. I'm one of those people that believes a truck should be used for what it was designed for - being a truck. Not only city and highway miles but tons of dirt / dirt road/ and rock miles. With over 250k miles this truck has been and seen things around the US that most others will only look at a picture of; from driving in blizzards from the harsh winters of the Midwest to plowing through three foot waters in the deep south. The only major repair I ever had on my truck was the transmission which went out 4 years ago (it was the reverse) in of all places, my suburban driveway!
Story
Besides travelling half-way around the US? Nope.
Pros
It has a moon roof with a great view! I love the dark blue because it hides dirt well (I'm not known for washing my truck). It goes places in the muck and mud and rock and over trees you're weinie little electric car would shudder at. I can switch from 2 to 4 wheel inside with the turn of a knob (handy when you don't want to get out in the mud)!! The back seats lay down allowing you to basically camp in you truck with double sleeping bags (that's a story for another forum). Yes, I love my truck.
Cons
The transmission's reverse gear went out once in my driveway, ugh. I let my son borrow my truck once, my moon roof now leaks after a good rain. The water sits in a groove and will only leak once I hit the gas. My passenger gets a sudden surprise though which is kind of funny.
2000 Ford Explorer - Good dependable
I think that this explorer is very dependable. It has a great size of room for a small family. We are a family of four. We have two babies with two car seats one on each side. The room in the back seat is great. I think that this is a very dependable SUV, and that it has some get up and go. The explorer has a V8 engine; it is heavy on the gas, but is a very good engine.
Story
We make alot of trips to the beach as it has lot of storage for the babies utilities. We woke up one Saturday, loaded up, and then made a safe trip and easy trip to the beach with the family.
Pros
One positive thing is that the engine is strong. The controls are very easy to get to. The seats are motor operated and the windows are, as well. I think that the Explorer has great storage room for strollers in the far back and great luggage room. I love the height of the Explorer. It is high enough as you can see down, and the control of the Explorer is easy to drive, as well.
Cons
The cons about the Explorer is that, since it is a V8, you have to be aware of the gas that it uses. The seats are leather so they have a small crack here and there I think the controls on the wheel could be better built as if the crack it is hard to use the cruise button or the resume button. The gas one the explorer is the hardest to get use to.

They had a large inventory on-hand and were easy to work with. Got approved and drove off with the new vehicle in just a couple of hours.
