2015 Ford F-150 - Great tow vehicle and daily driver.
The Ford F150 in the XLT trim with the max tow package is the ideal vehicle if you need to tow a big load >10000 lbs. and still have a good daily driver. The 3.5L Ecoboost engine can tow up to 12000 lbs. if equipped properly. Unlike the F250 that has a similar capacity, this truck has good gas mileage at around 21 mpg combined. The ride quality is comfortable and not harsh. The XLT trim offers a lot of luxury features including a chrome package and navigation. One thing that I liked the F150 over the F250 is that it can still fit in my garage, just barely. If it was any longer it would not fit. The F250 would not fit in my garage. With the body of the truck made of aluminum, the truck is much lighter and has a higher payload capacity than other competitor trucks (>2000 lbs.).
Story
I bought this truck to tow a travel trailer. Since it has twin turbos, it does really well in higher elevations where normally aspirated trucks would lose significant power, this truck can easily haul the weight with power to spare. I have towed at elevations of around 10000 feet with little to no drop off in towing power noticed.
Pros
The 3.5L Ecoboost engine has great torque and power. Along with having good gas mileage. The ride comfort is great. The interior is great. It include an 400 watt inverter in the cab.
Cons
The bed is a little short on the super crew cab. You can go with the longer bed but it will make the vehicle much longer. Would not fit in my garage.
