1998 Ford Explorer - Good car, well built
All the major parts have lasted a long time, with routine maintenance. Would recommend manual transmission for engine longevity. I like the size of the car - just big enough, but still compact.
Story
Driving down to the store.
Pros
Has held up well, with routine basic maintenance. Good fuel economy.
2009 Ford Explorer - Good car, not much speed but great MPG for a non-hybrid.
My car is an used 2008 Ford Focus. I got it from my fiancé's grandmother who upgraded to a different car. She only had 300 miles on it at the time so I considered brand new more than used. I love how comfortable it felt and how well it responds to my steering.
Story
This vehicle has been our main mode of transportation for a few years now and it is great. The best part is that we have put a storm trooper helmet in the back seat and we get so many laughs and smiles from people.
Pros
There are a lot of great things about this car that should be noted. Specifically, the Bluetooth adaptability in the radio. I love that I don't have to worry about getting a moving violation because I need to use my telephone while driving. I also love the gas mileage on the car. The style and look of the car is also very appealing. I have had no problems with the car as far as performance or maintenance and as far as space goes, there is ample room in the trunk, center console and glove box.
Cons
The car has a 4 cylinder engine, making the pick-up and go ability nonexistent. I would love this car even more if it had a little more oomph to it. I also would like the vehicle to be easier to re-program the keyless entry to. Every time I replace the battery on the remote, I have to reprogram it to the car, causing my fiancé's keys to lose programming. That is ridiculous for something so simple to have such a problem with communication. Because I have longer legs, I have my seat adjusted all the way back, causing any back seat passengers to lose most, if not all, leg room.
