Coming from an impractical, not fuel efficient sports car, we needed a vehicle that could allow my wife to commute to a job 30 minutes away that was reliable, affordable and fuel efficient. The 2014 Ford Fiesta that we settled on was exactly what we needed. After several months of ownership, we noticed that our MPG was usually up in the high 30s for a combined city and highway driving experience, even with some of that highway driving in stop-and-go traffic. This was a large increase compared to the 17 to 18 MPG we got in our previous vehicle. Even though I was coming from a sporty, two door coupe, the Fiesta has turned out to be a very enjoyable drive. The short wheelbase keeps the car nimble and light through the corners, but still allows for comfortable cruising along the highway. Inside, the car is extremely comfortable for a compact and has a surprising amount of headroom in the rear. I am over six feet tall and would have no problem riding in the back seat for an extended period of time. Additionally, the cargo space is wonderful, especially in the hatchback model and even if you're not putting the rear seats down to expand the trunk space. Overall, we are very satisfied with our purchase.
