2006 Ford Five Hundred - Reliable car especially for young drivers

This car has been in my family for many years and has been one of the more reliable vehicles for years. It was able to handle as a commuting car and then a car for a new driver. After 200,000 miles, it still only needed limited work and was able to drive well for more local trips. No major parts repair was needed, and the interior held up well after being used by a family with small kids. The engine and working parts do not make much noise, and there are no rattling or shaking noises from the interior. The interior was roomy enough to fit everyone but compact. The trunk has had plenty of storage. The interior design was nice, and the leather seats held up extremely well. Story
The car was perfect for a teenage girl driving around town in the car. The trunk was used for many drive-in movies during the summertime.
Pros
Positives included the well-designed interior and the overall durability of the car. The interior was very roomy, which was excellent for taller drivers. The durability of the car was also very nice, considering the car was driven for 12 years without any major problems.
Cons
Negatives included poor gas mileage and the small gas tank. In addition, the heating system was poor and did not work well.

Overall our ford five hundred was a pretty good vehicle. It was designed well and I can't think of very many complaints while we had it. Very easy to drive, accelerated quickly and braked smoothly, gear shifting is extremely smooth. Only had to take it into the shop a few times for minor issues.
Pros
It had all wheel drive with traction control, a keypad on driver side door in-case you locked yourself out, an extremely spacious trunk, and a decent about of headroom and legroom. Seats are very comfortable both front and back seats have plenty of room.
Cons
It was only made for a couple years so any maintenance required was expensive requiring parts directly from ford. It only got about average MPG- 20-23 normally. The only other thing is the engine light came on quite a lot, nearly every time we took it in, the mechanic cleared the computer and found no issues.

The staff were very polite and helpful. Also the prices were all very fair and the fact that there was no haggling the price made everything more comfortable and seemed more trustworthy.
