I purchased this car after my other car was totaled in an accident. I had gone through many test drives for cars in a similar price range but as soon as I drove this car uphill on the freeway I KNEW I was going to buy it! It was the only car I test drove that was really able to get up to speed on hills without feeling like it was chugging all of my gas (I live in Seattle -- hills galore!). I am always able to fit into tight parking spaces because this car is so compact. Also, I've also ridden long distances in the back seat and can't complain about lack of space. Average gas mileage in my opinion. Also, I can't stress enough how happy I am that this car looks modern, but doesn't have a ton of blind spots. A lot of cars have very small windows these days and it takes away a lot of vi... (more)
Story
This was my first automatic transmission car. The Seattle area is known for steep hills; particularly stop lights and stop signs at the top of them. Imagine how happy I was when I could finally stop at the top of a hill without worrying about rolling backwards or stalling! This car has enough power to not just go up steep hills, but do it without hesitation.
Pros
-Compact. -Good mileage. -Few blind spots. -I bought this car used and have driven it for four years without mechanical issues. -Lots of trunk space.
Cons
-Noisy! Even with all the windows closed, I still hear a lot of white noise from driving on the freeway. It's really my biggest complaint about this car. -Stereo is outdated (CDs and AM/FM radio only). -Heater isn't the best.

The quality of this vehicle is actually great, in relation to cost. It's an inexpensive car to drive and own. Gas mileage is fairly good in the city (23mpg), great on the highway(30 mpg.) Acceleration and handling make it a fun, sporty choice for young drivers. It's not very comfortable for long road trips, but the size and handling make it ideal for city driving. Vehicle maintenance and cost of repair/upkeep is relatively cheap, and actual repairs are rarely needed. When repairs have been necessary, it is such a common car that there's no trouble finding parts/repair shops. While the Focus has plenty of room for two adults in the front, getting a baby in and out of car seat in the backseat is a bit of a squeeze. The trunk is large, and the back seat folds down to create a fairly good-... (more)
Story
While the Focus is best for city driving, I have several times taken it off-road while camping, and it handles it well.
Pros
The best feature of this vehicle is the value and quality relative to cost. It's cheap to buy, drive and own.
Cons
Not enough space for a small family. The cabin in the Focus is crowded if there are more than just two adults in the front.

Lots of big trucks with like minded people working there. Super friendly staff that shared the same interests as me. It was probably the easiest and most comfortable car dealership experience ever.

Low-price Were polite when we were shopping around. Worked to get the vehicle I wanted, which involved working with another dealer. No pressure salesmen.
