I've had my 2005 Honda Civic EX since I was fifteen, and my mother bought it barely used. I have driven it from the west coast to the east coast and back and all the way up to Canada and down to Mexico. It's nearing 200,000 miles and still running great. There were a few major repairs that happened along the road, but that's to be expected with how much I've driven.
Story
Even though it may not be suggested, I managed to drive my car up a very steep and rocky mountain road to car camp at the top. I think some pickup trucks that drove past me the next morning were shocked my little Civic made it all the way up!
Pros
The gas mileage on this car is great. Seats are super comfy—maybe I'm just used to my car, but I swear no other car is as comfortable as mine! I love the feature of pushing down the rear seats for trunk access so I can fit my bike inside. Speaking of the trunk, it has a massive amount of space, especially for a coupe. I also think the design of the car is super cute, especially since adding a roof rack.
Cons
The only negative thing about this car is that tall people are quite cramped. I primarily use my car for solo driving with the occasional passenger, but a full load with four people is quite squished.

2003 Honda Civic DX 4-door. The DX is the low-end model, so no frills here. It came with a manual transmission, which I prefer because it makes driving the car a ton more fun. Whether because of the manual transmission or not, it has enough power to get you out on the road, into traffic, up hills, and around corners with confidence. If you push the pedal, the front-wheel drive will always throw rocks on a gravel road. Even after 50,000 miles, it drives like it's new. The only parts that don't look new look that way because of something stupid I did. Overall, a solid performer.
Story
This one time, at band camp....we decided that we'd rather to to the beach. So we went. In this car.
Pros
Has great power and gets decent mileage.
Cons
Minor complaints: The driver's door lock needs replacing, the factory battery only lasted 3 years (the replacement and the factory battery in my other car have lasted over 8 years each), and the fuel gauge needed replacement (replaced under warranty).
