The 2004 For Focus Wagon is a great family car. I have owned it for a few years now, and driven it over 30,000 miles and it has not failed me once. Aside from regular oil changes and change the tires once, I have not had to replace nor fix anything on the vehicle. It has taken us on many family trips, and the fact that it gets up to twenty-nine miles per gallon on the highway are a huge plus! Road trips to visit the family in southern California have been a breeze on the pocket due to the great gas mileage. I would certainly recommend this car to friends and/or family that are in the market for a reliable vehicle that is great for the family. I've owned smaller cars like the Honda Civic, but having the extra space in the trunk with this wagon have been a blessing! Not once have I had a... (more)
Story
Living near Yosemite, this car gets regular trips to the great outdoors. My most memorable trip, was when my brother and sister were visiting and they wanted to go see the waterfall. So we were about to leave, and my youngest son said he wanted to go as well. He was only 3 at the time, so I asked if he was sure, since we were only going to hike to see a waterfall. He said he was sure and boy w... (more)
Pros
My favorite parts about the car are the gas mileage that it gets along with the trunk space since it's a wagon. The minimal maintenance is another huge plus.
Cons
Although it gets great gas mileage on the highway, if there's something not to like about it, is that it only gets 19MPG in the city. However 19MPG is still more than my SUV gets on the highway so it's still rather good.

I really do love my Ford Focus. We purchased a hatchback because it allowed us to lay the seat down to carry large objects. I went to the dealership not knowing what type of car I wanted. I couldn't afford a really expensive car, but was impressed when the salesperson shows us the Focus models. I loved the way the hatchback looked and the decision was quickly made to buy. We have driven our Focus since late 2005, and have really enjoyed it. It has more room than we ever expected, and we have used it to transport several fairly large pieces of furniture that we purchased on the spur of the moment. We drive across the US between New York State and California twice a year, because we have a dog and we have a home in both states. Our Focus has made 10 trips across, and we have never had a ... Story
I was driving home for work on a country road about two weeks after buying the car. I saw a flash of a running deer out of the corner of my eye, and a deer ran into my right passenger door. The deer ran from the scene, but I have always had a small dent in the passenger door to remind me of the experience.
Pros
Lay down back set to accommodate large items. Easy in and out. Good mileage Holds the road well.
Cons
Black color Radio/CD player could be better

We are a military family and they were willing to give us the vehicle at asking price with no tax and they traded in our 1999 F250 as the down payment.
