2020 marks the beginning of the brand-new, eighth-generation (C8) Corvette. The Corvette has long been America’s beloved, high-performance sports car that offers a lot of bang for the buck over its European competition, particularly the Porsche 911, Mercedes AMG-GT, and Audi R8. This generation is a sea-change for the Corvette nameplate as for the first time in Corvette history, it switches from the previous front-engine layout to the more performance-oriented midengine setup.
