My Subaru Impreza is an exceptional vehicle for everyday driving. I drive over 100 miles roundtrip daily for school, and it gets incredible gas mileage (about 28 mpg). The cruise control ability allows effortless driving capabilities for long distances or highway. There has been one electronic issue noted—the temperature and mpg digital display is very dim when the headlights are turned on. All other electronic components function properly—electronic locking, power steering, and stereo all function properly. The trunk cargo space, with the seats folded down, allows ample amount of room for our two dogs to stretch out and sleep on the way to our hiking trails! The hatchback is very convenient for easy loading and unloading (think groceries or moving belongings). This vehicle is very pra... (more)
Story
It has been an excellent vehicle for fun weekend trips to the beach. This past Memorial Day we packed a few friends in the backseats and put the dogs in the huge hatchback area and left for South Haven, Michigan to spend the day the Lake Michigan. The Subaru cruised effortlessly the entire trip.
Pros
Excellent handling and steering through unsafe driving conditions (ice/snow). Sporty look of the vehicle overall. There is ample amount of cargo space. Great gas mileage at about 28 miles per gallon. The all-wheel drive is probably my favorite feature and one of the main reasons I purchased the vehicle.
Cons
Plastic material lines most of the inner interior of the vehicle, making it look cheaper than it could. Premium gas needs to run through the vehicle making fill-ups expensive. There is a built-in safety feature that can cause the cruise control light to flash, check engine light comes on, and the traction control light can come on. It can be triggered by things like oil low or gas cap not on tight.

I'm very pleased with my Hyundai Elantra-GT purchase. The alloy wheels make the ride feel smooth and safe. I always feel like the car is securely on the ground even when driving fast in the rain. The hatchback feature that adds the 5th rear door is something I will never give up with a sedan again. I have so much more space to fit things in the car now that I can completely flatten the backseat. I volunteer for an animal shelter, and I was successfully able to fit 12 cats in individual carriers into my car to transport them to a rescue! The ability to have a small car, save on gas, and have the space makes this car perfect for me. The only cons about this vehicle is that it can be a bit crammed for a tall person. I also find that when my suspension is having to work hard on rough roads... (more)
Story
We drove to the Smokey Mountains, and it was fun swerving around hilltop roads. I was happy the car was small because some of these back roads are very narrow which cause you to avoid oncoming traffic.
Pros
I really like the steering and the feel of the drive. I like the 5th door and the ability to put the entire backseat down in order to extend my trunk space. I like this car the most because it's a fuel efficient small sized vehicle with the ability to transport larger items if needed.
Cons
It can be a tight fit for a really tall person while sitting in the car. The brakes feel shaky when braking on rough terrain. Putting the backseat down to be completely flat takes a little effort with removing the headrests. I wish I could just pull them down in one easy motion.

The Ford Focus hatchback is a reliable vehicle. The gas mileage is very good averaging close to 35 mpg, and I get close to 400 miles per tank of gas. The interior is comfortable with heated bucket seats and a very clear to see dashboard. The infotainment system is top notch, and the Sync system makes it work smoothly with my smartphone. One thing I am not pleased with is the transmission. In the lower gear, the car can buck and jerk at time when slowly accelerating. I don't notice this issue with hard accelerations. Another thing I do not like is the fact that some of the paint seems to be chipping already. I am able to place my bike and other gear in the hatch section with relative ease, and that makes the car very handy for me.
Story
The car is great to take to bike races. Driving to races in a small car and then being able to take out my bike trainer and all my gear from such a small car, is a pleasant surprise.
Pros
Looks/lines of the car are nice. The sound system is excellent. High quality speakers. The infotainment system is very intuitive to use. Interior lights look classy.
Cons
Chipping paint and transmission is sluggish in lower gears. Hard to put down rear seats to use back for storage.
