This is really an excellent car. I have had it for several years now and never had a single problem. It is so reliable, I can always count on it. I purchased this car used for pretty cheap so I am not at all careful with it. I drive it like it's stolen. I like to go hiking through the woods and there is a dirt trail several miles long and I always take my Accord back there. I wouldn't want to beat up a newer or nicer car but my Honda always gets me there just fine and adds a couple battle scars each time from tree branches or kicked up rocks. Its at well over 200,000 miles and shows no signs of slowing down. The small engine is powerful enough to climb steep hills and go pretty fast on the highway but is very easy on gas. I plan on getting a newer car soon and I will definitely look to... (more)
Story
Me and a buddy of mine were out in the middle of the woods hunting, and I had my Honda parked at the bottom of a dirt path. Well, it started pouring rain out of nowhere and caused a big mudslide. All this mud was piled up along my car, up to the doors by the time we made it back to the car. He said it was stuck for sure that we'd have to call for a tow truck and dig it out. I jumped in the car... (more)
Pros
Very reliable. Easy on gas and very cheap up keep. Parts are very easy to find if some thing goes wrong but chances are it won't.
Cons
You can't expect luxury from an old accord or anything fancy.

The exterior of the vehicle itself has held up well, and is not prone to rust or other unsightly wear. It has a sleek enough profile for someone young, but is also practical and roomy for someone who has grown up enough to need actual space for other people, groceries, etc. The trunk also has ample space to accommodate a busy equestrian like me. I can fit two saddles, a 5-gallon bucket (on its side) and a couple horse blankets in the trunk comfortably.
Story
When I moved my horse to a new barn, I went to Home Depot to buy a very large (50+ gallon) toolbox to serve as a trunk for my various grooming supplies, bridles, etc. I hadn't thought too hard about how I would get the box away from the store until I'd wheeled it out to my car. One of the store workers came over to see if they could help me while I contemplated my trunk. They expressed doubt t... (more)
Pros
Stylish and sporty due to sleek lines, rear spoiler, and chrome exhaust tip Attractive faux carbon fiber interior accents Convenient buttons located on steering wheel High quality console electronics Excellent road noise buffering Luxury suspension 4 cylinder engine is large enough to be powerful when needed, but relatively efficient
Cons
Gas mileage is not as efficient as I would like No side mirror heaters Beige interior looks boring/dated Manual-only seats Headlight shape cannot accommodate high-intensity lamp style

Other than the notorious transmission issues that people report with this car, I love it. I purchased it used in 2009 with 47,000 miles on it. It now has clicked over 191,000 miles this week. Very minimal problems, just a few suspension things here and there aside from regular maintenance. The transmission does slip and shift rough, but this has made it 30,000+ miles with a bad transmission. And it's reliable enough that I am planning to replace a transmission in a car with this many miles. Yes, I am replacing the transmission. It is a Honda and I trust it to run at least another 50,000 miles. The $1,000 I'll spend doing the transmission is way better than buying something else that won't last nearly as long. And, the repairs don't outweigh the value in the first place. This thing has ... (more)

loading it up on a semi truck from Ohio to be taken to San Diego California Port for it to be transported by ship to Maui, Hawaii. Most locals enjoyed seeing it on Maui.
Pros
Comfort and durability
Cons
The transmission slipping, and I prefer a standard transmission
