I've driven Mustang, Ford, Hyundai, and a variety of foreign/American-made vehicles (both manual and automatic) in my life, and I'm still partial to Honda. Currently share a Honda Accord 2011 with my live-in girlfriend and use it every day. She just bought it about a year ago with 20k miles used but functions like brand new. I made sure she got a car that was very easy to use since she has been in about three crashes in the past two years, and this is still my top choice in terms of user-friendliness. Acceleration is smooth and responsive as are the brakes. She drove down here to Texas from Minnesota, against my wishes, but surprised me when she came knocking on my door. Apparently, she wanted it to be a surprise and drove down here at the height of winter, and I was very upset, but sh... (more)
Story
One memorable experience was when my girlfriend surprised me for my 26th birthday, driving all the way down here from Minnesota. I was happy but a little mad at first because she never told me, despite her being in two crashes, but she quickly made up for it by showing me a homemade cake she had lovingly baked. We later went bar-hopping with a couple of friends (I was the designated driver of ... (more)
Pros
My favorite features are the ease of use for my girlfriend. Tight, responsive braking system and smooth acceleration compared to the jumpiness of your regular automatic Ford. Back when we were living in MN, she had spun out a couple of times on a Toyota Corolla and hit the median (luckily, she had no injuries in both cases). Though she can be a little gung ho sometimes, black ice is no joke and very hard to avoid at the height of Minneapolis winters. We moved to Texas for this very reason, and the weather has been very friendly to the maintenance of the vehicle. We have only had to change ... (more)
Cons
There are very few cons. We had to change the muffler once due to greyish-blue smoke being emitted, but we've had no problems after that (this was five months ago). The tire treads are a little thin for bumpy, rough Texas roads but that could just be the rural area we live in. Never had a leak or anything. Windshield is a little brittle, had to change it once after a trailer on the freeway nicked the top right corner with a stray rock.

This vehicle really stood out in its class compared to other cars made in the same year. I've driven many different cars, but this would be my first owned car. I bought the car used, but it felt new. It drove smoothly and is relatively more silent than other cars. My car has good sound speaker audio, a moon roof, nice leather seats, decent mpg, and the front seats are electrically adjustable and can be set to two different heating levels. Overall, I couldn't ask for a better first car, and I was told that it depreciates more slowly than other cars in its year in terms of resale value.
Story
I'm very directionally challenged, and I requested for my friends to not tell me where I was going so I could try and find the way by myself. I still got pretty lost, but we got to see some good scenes and hang out in the car. It was an overall good time.
Pros
The electrically adjustable front seat is really nice. The electrically adjustable mirrors are also really nice. It's easy to start up and is relatively silent to drive. It's very comfortable. The backseat also has an AC vent and cup holders that fold out from the middle seat. It has an auxiliary cord connection to the radio. It was inexpensive to buy used. The turn signal blinkers are yellow (I don't like red blinkers). Cruise control is easy to use and the speed can be adjusted with up-down arrows. The backseat is comfortable to fall asleep on. It's easy to use the car keys.
Cons
It's white and shiny, so lots of birds like to poop on it. The leather seats are beige so any accidental stains or marks made on the seat are easily visible. It's sometimes hard to figure out how to close the moon roof. It took a while to figure out and consistently remember how to open the gas cap and the front hood. The tires squeal when braking too hard. There are no back wipers and the windshields can fog up pretty quickly. The AC at its lowest setting still can't beat the Texas heat. The trunk could be bigger... My car always seems to run into mechanical problems quicker than I'd like... (more)

Upon arriving at Gillman Honda we were greeted not by a greeter but by the Manager Mario. He inquired about what we were looking for and felt Normalinda would best suit our needs. She was so perfect . She stayed within our financial restraints and showed us only cars we could afford. We quickly make our decision. Normalinda was amazing and Gillman Honda will see us again! Great people great dealership. Thank you, Gillman Honda.
