I really love my car and am sad that it is a lease because I don't want to give it back. This was my first car and it has been incredible. The dashboard is helpful, complete with a back-up camera and controls accessible on the steering wheel. The front seats have multiple adjustments, my favorite being the lifting/lowering of the drivers seat so any driver can feel comfortable. I have 2 dogs, so being able to put down my back seats and the plastic trunk guard made things so easy. Compared to other friends cars I felt I didn't have to fill-up on gas as often, or get my oil changed as often. The car had great control and being a first-time driver this made things feel a lot safer.
Story
I live in Texas so there are a lot of rivers, lakes and beaches around. I have taken this car on plenty of road trips with my 2 dogs, without any issues.
Pros
My favorite features are the back up camera, the fold down back seats, and the radio/Bluetooth features. This car had great gas mileage and the cost to fill up my tank was very low compared to others. I enjoyed the dashboard feature that showed your approximate mileage left based on how much gas you had, this helped me gauge my road trips and long drives. Another feature that was helpful was the oil life feature, it would tell you how close you were to needing an oil change! Heated/ac seats have been one of my favorite parts of driving this car.
Cons
The only thing I disliked about this car was how easy the upholstery stained, and how fast the tires on my car lost tread, this could be from how much it has been driven though. The upholstery not only got stained easily but held dog hair/dirt a lot stronger than others I have seen.

2011 Honda CR-V - It's a love/hate relationship.

I like that it is not really a gas guzzler like some midsize vehicles. I average around 25 miles per gallon. I was hoping to get 30 miles per gallon. The wheels are nice chrome. The paint is clean and strong. If you service the SUV often, the car will be very good to you. All in all, it has been a very good car to me in terms of being faithful. It is definitely not very strong in horsepower. It drives quietly. It is a peaceful ride. The driver seat is very comfortable for long-distance drives.
Story
The most fun I have had in that car is taking trips all over Texas. Like going to Dinosaur State Park in Mineral Wells, Texas. Or simply loading up and taking all my stuff to go grilling on the Grapevine, TX, lake.
Pros
It does not use as much gas as most vehicles that are midsize. I can fit two full-size bikes when I put the back seats down. Nothing big has ever gone out on me. Air conditioner will run you out of there. It is very reliable. The heater is amazing. The heated seat is also great for winter. There's an amazing amount of space in the front seats.
Cons
It averages around 25 miles per gallon. The back seats have hardly any leg room. The leather burns you on hot summer days. The darker dashboard gets hotter on summer days. It doesn't get up and go very fast. It takes time to get up to speed. It's such a small vehicle. There is no air conditioner in the back seats. The carpet under the carpet pads are very cheap looking. I think they could have done a better job.

It was close by. We were able to do a lot of research/pre-work online, which was really helpful. The only snag - we went there to test drive at the very beginning of our car search. We went to a number of different dealerships and tried different makes of cars. The person we dealt with online happened to NOT be the nice guy who helped us when we initially test drove the vehicle. I think he was, understandably, a bit miffed when he saw us return and work with the online guy. I really wish dealerships could figure out a way to deal with commissions to not make the customer feel so uncomfortable.
