The 2007 Honda Civic was a workhorse of a car. Having owned this vehicle since they first appeared on the lot, and watching the wear and tear I put on it day in and day out, I would have to say Honda found some way to put nanite's in the engine at the very least. It's survived over 150,000 miles, and countless dings and scrapes. Most vehicles wouldn't be able to withstand a hit from a woodland creature, but somehow mine has survived both a small hog and a raccoon - and still has the get up and go it had when it was new! The only real downsides are the timing belt, air conditioning, and the sun visors. My Civic's visor broke off within a few months of purchasing the car, and never could get around to getting it replaced. Also, after about 5 years of ownership, the air conditioning died.... (more)
Story
I've taken this car everywhere. My most memorable experience is driving my wife and newborn son home from Galveston in it. We were both exhausted - her from having a baby, me from helping her, when some drunk person swerved into our lane on a feeder ramp. Somehow, I managed to navigate this vehicle through the slight shoulder and around this fool, without any sort of break or damage to either ... (more)
Pros
Nearly unbreakable vehicle Will run for anyone - even kids who don't know how to take care of a vehicle. Relatively fast and good acceleration - will make every bit of 140 mph, and still drive smoothly.
Cons
Sun visors will break. Air Conditioning breaks easily. Parts significantly more expensive than most other cars.

Pros: This car is a great handling car. The steering is tight, not loose like some other cars I have driven. It is a solid car, well built and comfortable. There is plenty of legroom in the back. The leather seats are quality and look expensive. This car also has an "eco" button which when activated, is supposed to allow the car to conserve gasoline. I get an average of 36 mpg with this car. It comes equipped with a USB port and Bluetooth capabilities which I love. Cons: The outside design of the car is fairly low-key, not very flashy and has a weird front end design. It is not the most pretty car I have owned but I picked it for economy and reliability more than looks. The paint on the hood started to show some cracking and fading at 25,000 miles which the dealership refused to fix e... (more)
Story
I live in a small town and because I chose the EXL, I have the only one in town even after 3 years. Most people get the lower in models and there are many of those in town.
Pros
Great gas mileage Plenty of room/legroom inside and a large trunk compartment Tight steering and great handling Quality leather interior USB and Bluetooth capability
Cons
Exterior design is not pretty. Issues with paint cracking/breakdown on hood while car still in warranty and Honda dealership refused to repair. Stereo system speakers are very poor in volume and sound quality

They were cheaper than all of the other dealerships selling similar vehicles. They had good reviews. The environment wasn't shady or deceitful.
