Great Car - Great Value
The Honda Civic is a real workhorse. You give it gas and oil and you just drive and drive and drive. The interior of the car is well made and well designed. No buttons falling off - no malfunctioning lights - no ripped up seats. The gas mileage of the car will help it pay for itself the longer that you have it. Living in a four season part of the country the Civic gets into all kinds of weather and it just goes. Snow - no problem. Torrential rains - no problem. Blazing sun - no problem. During the heat of summer the Civic's air conditioning system cools down the car's entire cabin in a matter of minutes. In the dead of winter the heating system will have the inside of the car feeling toasty in no time. This car is great for a golfer because a full set of clubs and a stand bag fit across the trunk and lay flat - no trouble with long clubs get dinged up getting them in and out of the car. The Civic is also a legacy car. For the last 6 years my oldest child has been saying "someday this car will be mine" and because of the Civic's durability and great longevity it will be theirs before too long. The Civic is not just a car - it is an investment in your future.

Good compact commuter
We bought this car because my wife's college car broke down right after our wedding. We looked for used cars like Corollas and Civics because we knew we wanted that size and make of car because they lasted. I myself owned an accord for 15 years and loved it. We test drove the Civic and really liked it for the money. The used ones were within about $1,000 so it didn't seem to make sense to buy one of them. My wife commuted 50 miles round trip to work for about six years, and this car was great, except on icy days. Now it's much shorter and great for getting around town. We really liked it on the highway because her family lives three hours away, and we were able to get great mileage (~40 mpg!) on trips like that. It was even great when our son was born, but when we had our daughter earlier this year, we realized that it was getting too small to do any more trips in, so I had to buy a larger family car myself. My wife still uses it, and we have a lot of great memories from our early marriage of trips we took in it. It was nice to have the connectivity to our phones for music. It's pretty small, but it does what you need for a low price. We have been happy with the durability, almost 100,000 miles in six years and still runs great. Highway noise can be loud at times, but we knew that when we bought it. Acceleration is also only OK considering the size, but again, we bought the lowest trim model and are pleased with what we paid for. Unfortunately there have been some plastic parts that haven't held up as well as we would have liked, but it's all been cosmetic and the drivability has remained the same.

One of the most reliable cars ever made.
I can still remember the day I walked onto the concrete lot of the car dealership and saw this normal looking car reflecting the sunlight in a gray haze. It was the car the car that I jokingly remarked to my son about, saying "I want that one." The cars around it were flashier, but my Honda Civic EX has had the lowest repairs out of all of the cars that my family owns. I regret that I have had to repair the same things on the car repeatedly, but the cost of repair is minimal and I have only had to repair it 3 times in over 10 years. The car is does not have great handling, as it is a front wheel drive model. It would not win a race, but it handles good enough on the city streets. I have saved more gas with it than any of my friends have with their cars. The car was also less expensive than many of its competitors cars at the time of release. It does not have a high resale value, but I have no intention on selling it. This car saves more gas than most new model cars.
