2006 Honda Civic - Clean, modern, economical
The 2006 Honda Civic is a car design that has aged remarkably well. In fact, I don't think there has been much appreciable change to the interior dash of Civics since then. When sitting in the car, you do not feel like you're in a car from 2006Ñit could easily pass as a car 10 years newer or more. Externally, the car also still looks very classy, with a body type that has so far defied the aging that many other cars from the era have fallen victim to. The car is made even classier with the addition of alloy wheels, which many of them can be found with. Unless you're wanting to spend a lot more of your income per month making payments on something much newer, it's hard to make a better decision than for a 2006 Civic, in terms of both reliability and looks.
Story
Took it on a day trip to go float the river, packed out the trunk full of beers and tubes, and it was perfect!
Pros
Above all, getting fuel efficiency at around the 30MPG mark is a treat, both in financial terms and environmental impact terms. Until we all have electric cars, it's hard to do better than 30MPG with purely a combustion engine on a compact/mid-sized car. The interior feels current with many digital displays and sleek design all over the dash, so you won't ever feel self-conscious driving a friend or a date. The trunk is plenty spacious, and opens with a key fob. Some models come with a sun roof, which is excellent to open up on some days! The engine purrs along quietly and idles smoothly.
Cons
In a 2006 car, you're not going to find much in the way of Bluetooth connectivity for your audio, but you can add this to a car if you really want, or use the aux cable. One of my door panels does vibrate subtly at times when music is playing, but I don't think this is the fault of the car as much as possibly someone breaking one of the door clips when removing or reinserting the door panel. If you require massive power from your heavy foot (and thus more fuel expenditure), you will notice that climbing steep hills and mountain passes, there are other cars on the road that can easily pass ... 2001 Honda Civic - Classic reliable car
I have owned my Honda Civic for over two years now, and it has run amazingly well and has stayed reliable as a great commuter vehicle. For being a 2001 car, I was able to purchase it with only 120,000 miles on it, and it was mainly an in town vehicle for the last owner. As I primarily use it to commute 15-30 miles each direction to work several days a week, it has never broken down or had any out of the norm work required. I have always felt safe and secure driving it, and the gas mileage is really good as it is a smaller vehicle. Although you sit higher up (in regards to the steering wheel) compared to a full-size vehicle, it is something that you get used to over time and becomes quite comfortable driving.
Story
I drove this vehicle in the snow for the first time a few weeks ago. Going up the huge hills to my apartment complex was very entertaining! Although the car slid around a little bit, I laughed to myself as I watched newer, fancier cars getting stuck, spinning their wheels in the snow and ice, as my older Honda Civic seemed to cut through it more or less pretty easily. Just shows that it is wor... (more)
Pros
Trunk space is quite spacious given the smaller size of the car. The Civic accelerates very quickly and can make turns quick and easily. I like feeling like I am driving a "light" car that doesn't feel like a boat of a car. The blind spots on the front/side windows are smaller than previous cars so I feel more secure in my surroundings. The vehicle seems to hold its own, and when you treat it with respect and make sure you take care of all the basic and required maintenance, then it will last you a long time!
Cons
I would like to have more customized seat settings, with all of the controllers on the bottom left side of the driver's seat, and would also prefer a stronger rear defroster for the winter months. When there is frost or ice on the rear window, it does seem to take quite a long time to thaw out.

2012 Honda Civic - Capitol City Honda Olympia
Customer service was superb. Salesperson was very informed and able to answer all of my many questions about the vehicle. The salesperson spent the entire afternoon with us to make sure that the car we ended up choosing would meet all of our needs. The financing department was also great--very polite and efficient.
1996 Honda Accord - Dick Hannah Honda Vancouver
When we showed up to look, we didn't have any sort of idea of what we wanted. The staff there were polite and patient, talking through many options with us as we decided what we wanted to get. They felt genuine, not slimy, and were great at explaining little details as well as helping with financing options and making sure the cars we were interested in were a good fit for our needs.
