My wife and I were first-time car buyers looking for a reliable, safe, affordable used car. We had to move from downtown Chicago to a Chicago suburb for work and were not happy about needing to own a car. We viewed a car as a continuous source of errands that would eat into our ever-dwindling free time. My wife would be the primary driver of the car (to/from work and travel between school buildings in her district), and we simply were not interested in a high-maintenance car. Although the car creates its fair share of errands, it's mostly been extremely reliable. Despite two incidents requiring a tow truck, my wife trusts the car and feels safe while driving it. This makes me extremely happy.

This car has been a godsend for my professional and personal life. I work as a touring burlesque performer, and while this car is tiny enough to slide into a compact parking space with ease, it has a deep and wide enough trunk to accommodate several suitcases of costuming, supplies and merchandise. Even at over 150,000 miles, it's performing well, with great gas mileage. I have dealt with some recent electrical problems and alternator issues, but they were rectified easily, and the car is just as dependable now as it was when I first bought it. This car has excellent pick up and can get up to speed on the highway in no time flat. The design is sleek and classic, practical, but with a playful style to it. The power windows are incredibly fast, and the heating and cooling elements work well -- and quickly! The remote key fobs are very handy, but one isn't functioning as a remote, and I've had difficulty getting a new battery to work. I'll likely need to replace the key itself, but after 12 years, it's definitely had a good run. The car also has great shock absorption for a smooth, quiet ride, even on rougher roads. Plenty of space for storage, including a deep glove compartment and handy center console, as well as cup holders and sizable door pockets for stowing away snacks, and supplies for longer trips.
