I have a 2009 Honda Fit Sport, with the manual transmission. I bought the car not knowing how to drive stick, and while I think it is a good car, I also don't recommend it to learn stick with. While it is peppy and gets great gas mileage, I find that the pedals are in awkward positions for me and don't have a ton of feel. It is fun to drive though, the shifter feels nice, and the magic seat in the back is awesome. I could probably sleep back there if I wanted. Styling isn't for everyone, but it has grown on me.
Story
It's a great vacation car for 2, it can hold so much luggage in the back with the seat down.
Pros
Acceleration is good, gas mileage is great. They way the back seat folds in many different positions is a life saver sometimes when you need to transport large items. The steering is quick to respond, handling seems pretty good, although I haven't really tested it's limits as I think that is unsafe to do so. Headlights are bright, gauges nice and clear.
Cons
The pedals are non adjustable. Honestly, I have a really hard time getting the seat just right. I'm a 5'10" male, but I have short legs for my height. So to get the seat where I can push the clutch down all the way, I feel like I'm a little close to the wheel and I have to have my right foot cocked up like I'm a drummer about to hit the bass drum. It's a bad and uncomfortable angle to maintain for extended periods of time. And that's how I have to have my foot to just maintain speed around town. Also, while I said the steering was good and direct (which it is), it's also a touch heav... (more)

I have owned this car for three years and have never had an issue mechanically. The interior has held up well through the early stages of my child's life and through having three puppies transported in it. While the MPG is a little lacking compared to other options in this price range, I felt like it was a good decision for my needs outside of commuting. For instance, the back seats are able to not only fold down, but to swing up. I've often avoided requiring a truck to haul larger items because I can maneuver them into this car easily. I have often been amazed at what can fit in this compact car. The only negative I would give this specific make is that it comes with paddle shifters that can be used in "Sport Mode". I hardly use this feature since it is more of a novelty, and I would ... (more)
Story
One time, I loaded up my child, two large breed dogs, and one small breed dog for a quick beach trip. I was able to fit all four of them in back along with our supplies in the trunk for an all day adventure. I would have never been able to do this in another car of this size.
Pros
Sturdy, reliable, VERY roomy considering the size
Cons
Paddle shifters give poor fuel economy compared to the standard automatic version, headrests can be uncomfortable

The salesperson was very polite and kind and patient with me. They were not overly pushy in trying to persuade me to purchase a particular car or style that I did not want. They called and checked on how things were going after I purchased the car.

I really enjoyed the people that worked at this dealership. They seem more low key than other dealerships and I did not feel forced or rushed into making a choice. I felt I could talk to them openly and honestly.
