Great car at a great price!
I purchased my 2010 Hyundai Elantra new in October of 2010. I was debating between the Nissan Versa or the Hyundai Elantra, but looking at them both inside and out, I decided on the Hyundai Elantra. After looking at online reviews and knowing the Hyundai Elantra had a 10 year or 100,000 mile warranty, it seemed like the better choice. I also loved how much roomier it looked on the outside, and actually was on the inside than the Nissan Versa. It also looked more like a family car than the Versa.

Good value, decent performance.
The Hyundai Elantra is a great family sedan. The curtain airbags are a relief to my mind when driving with my son on one of the sides rather than in the middle. The middle shoulder holster belt is nice as well. The engine is quiet and the fuel economy is great. The car is small and maneuverable while still having enough space for my family and luggage for a trip. The run-flat tires are a nice addition, though I do think having a spare and space for a spare would have been nice. The seat belts in the back seat tend to cut into my neck when I ride back there, and they are not adjustable. I do like the adjustability of the front seats however. The leg room in front and back are both good. The drop down cup holders in the middle seat are great. And the storage space when the seats are down is just wonderful for a sedan. I will say that this is not the car for a mountainous area however. My fuel economy has gone from 33/47 in Florida to 27/35 in Tennessee. Still good but not rivaling hybrid cars like it used to. The maintenance is a little expensive on these cars until you can do it yourself. The parts are a bit outrageous. I just spent $280 on a battery! But the car is easy to work on yourself. Everything is in convenient places, and no special lifts are needed for most maintenance.
