2003 Hyundai Elantra - Great Car, Love the Feel
I really like this vehicle, especially since I had a 5-speed manual transmission. It got great gas mileage, so I only had to fill up about once a week even though I drove quite a bit. It does not have four-wheel drive which made it difficult to get around in the snow at times, but as long as you have basic winter driving skills, you should be fine. I also never had any problems with the engine or any of the other factory parts.
Story
One time my friend and I drove this car several hundred miles on a road trip to a national park. It managed to make it all the way there without having any problems, and we got good mileage!
Pros
I loved the space in this car. While it was a small four door, I always felt like I could fit as much stuff or people in it as I needed. This came in handy when I moved into my college dorm; getting all that stuff moved was a challenge, but this car made it a little easier! In addition, I loved the seats. They were not leather, but I personally like that. Leather is cold in the winter and hot in the summer!
Cons
I think the biggest con about this vehicle is the lack of snow maneuverability. I live in an area that gets pretty regular snowfall every winter, and at times, it was tough to turn without skidding out in this car. It also doesn't have a huge trunk; it's not small, but I sometimes had trouble fitting long items in it.
