This vehicle is a workhorse. Absolutely reliable and requires little maintenance or repairs. There were issues with the paint fading and flaking, but that is cosmetic. I was able to perform maintenance and repairs myself much of the time. A simple, sturdy vehicle. Road noise was a bit loud but not louder than most non-luxury cars I've been in. I know the previous owner (a teenage boy) abused the car a lot, yet it never left me stranded and only had a few minor problems over the past six years.
Story
Driving through backroads of upstate New York in the fall -- the leaves are incredibly beautiful!
Pros
Low gas mileage. Easy to work on basic things myself. Never had a major problem. High resale value.
Cons
Paint was fading/peeling on hood, making it unattractive. Driving on the highway was loud. Crappy original radio.

I have traveled all over the country in this car, and it never once left me stranded. It is easy to work on simple maintenance/repairs myself and affordable to have it worked on at a shop. I changed my own brake pads and oil with no problem. It is easy to drive, has good visibility, and never let me down. I would absolutely recommend this car to anyone commuting or driving long distances.
Story
When I lived in Asheville, NC, I used to always carry a bunch of hula hoops in the back seat in case I had a few minutes to stop at a park or outdoor event. I'd pull out my hoops and immediately there'd be a crowd wanting to watch or try it.
Pros
It is an extremely reliable car. Problems always creep up - they never happened suddenly. As a bonus, it is a very boring-looking car, which means I don't get singled out by aggressive men with something to prove by racing or playing 'chicken'. The gas mileage is great - though newer models probably do better. I find the car very comfortable, but that may not be the case for larger individuals. Parts are readily available because it is such a common car, and all technicians know how to work on them.
Cons
I guess if you need a lot of power for some reason, it's not ideal. My car has some kind of paint issue that causes the hood to get discolored and paint to wear or chip off, so it's pretty unsightly.
