I financed the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo about six months ago, and it has turned out to be the best car I have ever owned. It is extremely spacious and drives comfortably for being larger in size. The Jeep handles very well and has a very tight turning radius, which surprised me. I am also very happy with the interior and the sky roof as well as the lowering back seats. The Jeep is so spacious that I am able to comfortably sleep in it with my girlfriend when we go off roading. The car handles amazingly when traveling on tough terrain, and the option to put it into both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive is amazing. Switching the car into two-wheel drive really helps with gas mileage. The Jeep has a V6 engine, which is also great on gas in comparison to the V8 engine in other Je... (more)
Story
My girlfriend and I once drove up to Mt. Taylor in New Mexico in my Jeep. We almost made it 11,301 feet all the way up to the peak of the mountain off-roading. We could have driven the Jeep all the way up the mountain but decided to do a little hiking on foot since we didn't walk once going up.
Pros
The positive aspects of the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee is that it is an all-terrain vehicle, drives extremely well, and is extremely spacious and comfortable.
Cons
The only real negative feature of the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the amount of gasoline that it uses.

The V8 version of this vehicle has a lot of horsepower, and can accelerate very well for its size and weight. The vehicle still runs even though it is almost 20 years old. I've had this vehicle for over 13 years, and I've only had a couple of mechanical issues including the CV joints wearing out, and a coolant leak caused by the heat line popping. Some of the biggest problems I've had are with the electrical contacts, which are very poorly designed and cause lighting problems throughout the vehicle, especially in the rear assembly.
Story
The back of the vehicle can be used in a pinch when you go camping and it gets too cold outside to tolerate. Just fold down the backseat and throw a sleeping bag in the back and it works out well.
Pros
Very good horsepower. Multidisc CD changer works very well and is convenient. Engine, transmission, and other parts of the drive train still work very well after so many years. The handling is surprisingly good for a vehicle as heavy as it is. When the struts for the hood and rear hatches wore out they were very easy to replace.
Cons
CV joints wore out in just a couple of years, and were a headache to get replaced. The taillights have been a headache since I bought the vehicle. The engineering decisions that were made in the design of the electrical contacts on the vehicle lighting are so poorly thought out.

I bought my vehicle a few years back and their service was impeccable! I have returned constantly when my vehicle needed servicing. I don't trust anyone else with my Jeep.
