I am very satisfied with my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I bought it as a first car when I was in high school. It has performed well and only has had a few mechanical repairs necessary which is pretty good for a vehicle of its age. Overall, it is a great value and has been a great car through high school and college.
Story
My most memorable story with this vehicle was pulling my grandpas lawn mower out of his lake because the lawn mower was stuck. I was proud my car was the one called because he knew it had the power to do the job.
Pros
There are many things I have enjoyed about this vehicle. First, I am very tall (6' 5") and this was one of the few SUVs I could find that had enough headroom for me to sit comfortably. Also, the leather buckets are extremely comfortable, some of the best I have sat in, in any vehicle. Finally, the cargo room in the rear of the vehicle is a major positive for me. The trunk space is above average and can be extended another two to three feet by folding the second row of seats flat.
Cons
The top negative for me was the fuel economy. For a mid size SUV I only averaged around sixteen miles per gallon which I think could be much better. Also, the transmission seemed to be off slightly. I am not sure if it is a mechanical problem or the way the vehicle is. When accelerating the engine revs and it takes it a little extra time for the engine to shift. Finally, after owning the vehicle for a while the engine developed a tick, which is probably just a sign of age.

The 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee is an oldie but a goody. It has proven to be safe and reliable time after time. The style seems ageless as the newer models look almost the same. there are however some down sides, the trunk space is hampered by the ill placement of the spare tire. Another downside is the mpg is very low compared to modern Jeeps. The size of the vehicle seems just right not too large not too small it has very little blind spot areas. The interior is comfortable and has stood up to abuse. I purchased this car second hand and have only had to have minor repairs done to it which were expected with age and when I purchased it, it was near mint which was shocking as it was already well over ten years old. The only downside to repairs is given the age it can some times be pricey ... (more)
Pros
4wd, easy to handle, great size
Cons
trunk space, low mpg

The dealership is conveniently located near me. When i arrived, i was greeted promptly and asked if I needed any help. I informed them that I knew what I was looking for, a Jeep Wrangler, and the sales associate brought me to their selection. He explained all the features of each model, and his personal opinion on what years he liked best. Also the financing options were easy to sit down and walk through with him, he made the entire process a breeze. It was a very good experience overall.

This dealership was great because they had financing available to specifically meet the needs of someone in the middle of a bankruptcy, which is what we needed. I think that even given our financial situation they were fair in their pricing.
