I have always wanted a Jeep. I have just always thought that they were one of the coolest cars on the market. I also felt like they encompassed me as a person, only in a car. They were sporty and cool, but had the smoothest drive and could get you were you needed to go. I had always wanted one and finally got one. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest.
Story
I drove through some uneven terrain in Oregon with friends when we went camping, and it was so much fun.
Pros
There were so many pros when I finally got this car. It was smooth, one of the smoothest rides I had ever driven. It got great gas mileage considering how big the car was. It was big to me, at least. It was the coolest design and could even go off road without breaking much of a sweat. I could basically do anything in this car.
Cons
There was really only one con I had with the car. The lights would turn on sometimes on the dashboard. I would go to the dealership to get it checked out and they would tell me it could be multiple things. It frustrated me because it could either be a really minor problem or a more expensive one, according to them. And they seemed to not know. Everything was fine in the end, though.

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Built reliably however gas mileage leaves a lot to be desired

Jeeps are usually pretty sturdily built. If you’re someone who likes to go camping, go skiing/snowboarding, or drive in somewhat off-road situations then the Jeep Grand Cherokee is probably the way to go. It’s built with great quality, however the center console could have used a bit more refinement.
Pros
It’s well built and I’ve had few maintenance issues with it thus far, creeping up on 100,000 miles. It has built in 4-wheel drive however it only automatically engages 4-wheel drive when it reaches terrain where it needs the extra push. This is good because it saves on gas mileage; in the city you don’t need 4-wheel drive so it’ll stay in 2-wheel drive saving gas. It has good power which allows for towing of boats, RVs, or other such trailers.
Cons
The main complaint I have with it, although this is common with SUVs, is that it sucks up gas at a pretty good rate, even when only in 2-wheel drive. Although this is a con, it should be expected with a vehicle that is relatively large. If you’re looking for good gas mileage and are into outdoorsy stuff such as skiing or snowboarding I would look into a Subaru of some sort. The interior is merely ok, it could use a bit more refinement and perhaps a little more room in the backseat area.
