I purchased this car when I was single and working two jobs. It was great at that point in my life. It was perfect for camping and taking little adventures. It was running well with normal maintenance. Once it started getting older, more parts started going bad much more quickly, one after the other. I have a family now, and it is no longer practical. The water pump and air compressor went out within two months. The frame that they are mounted on is causing various leaks as well. At this point, it's not even worth replacing the parts.
Story
Going camping near Mt. Saint Helens. The sunroof allowed me to take in the mountain air and pack all my gear comfortably for my needs.
Pros
The roof rack and the sun roof were my favorite parts of this car. The back seats laid very flat allowing me to move and store things as needed for my various adventures. The best things were the fun things on this car, not the practical daily things.
Cons
The quality and durability of the engine parts were less than what would be desired. Once they started to fail, they continued to fail, one after the other. This was fun while I was alone, but once I had kids I needed to transport, it was no longer practical. The car is small for an SUV and hard to move kids in.

The Jeep was excellent when I purchased it for my needs at the time. It was fun and sporty; the seats folded down for plenty of camping gear. Taking it on road trips was not comfortable seating but useful and versatile. As it has aged, parts have begun to fail at a rapid pace. The A/C compressor gave out shortly after the water pump. The frame that both of these parts attach to has started to rust and cause leaking. Then the 4WD gave out this winter as the weather put pressure on the drive train. As my family has grown and our needs have changed, this car has become cramped and uncomfortable for our needs and costly to repair.
Story
I was able to pack in my sister, friend, and two dogs in for a great camping trip. We threw a rooftop carrier on top and had plenty of room for our needs. The car cleaned up easily after the dogs, and traveled well.
Pros
Storage space for the size of the vehicle and the ability to put the seats fully down. This was great coupled with the rails on the top. I also liked that there was a small car jack included which was great. I also loved the sunroof and moon roof for driving around town.
Cons
Durability. This turned out to be terrible in the long run. The wheel base is small, but the car is tall, so driving through windy regions, like the one I live in, proved to be uncomfortable as the car would shift on the road while driving.
