I own a 2004 Jeep Liberty with four-wheel drive. I purchased the Jeep Liberty after owning a Jeep Grand Cherokee for years and years. The Liberty is a good car, but the Grand Cherokee is the best! My Jeep Grand Cherokee had almost 300,000 miles on it and was still running good when I sold it. I purchased the Jeep Liberty because I needed to get something with better gas mileage, and I was told that the Liberty would be better gas mileage. But the truth is, it's not that different, and the difference in the comfort and extras on the Grand Cherokee far than make up the difference in the difference in gas mileage. If I remember right, the Grand Cherokee got anywhere from 12-14 miles per gallon, and the Jeep Liberty gets about 17-19 on a good day. Not enough to make up the differenc... (more)
Pros
Compact parking. Four-wheel drive. Better gas mileage.
Cons
No heated leather seats. No moon roof. No automatic seats.

Overall, this Jeep will get you from point A to point B, but it probably won't be a comfortable ride. The trim is a lot of plastic, and fully expect all of your window motors to go out. I have currently had all four go out. However, if you are looking for a small SUV and don't have a long commute, this SUV would probably suite you well.
Story
Romping around in the snow is an absolute blast. It's like driving a four wheeler in the snow.
Pros
One pro about the Jeep Liberty is that it's compact. Finding a parking spot in a crowded lot or a lot with small spaces is pretty easy. It can also turn on a dime, which is handy if you commute within a city. It also does great in the snow with 4x4. It does come with a larger hitch, and pulling a small trailer poses no problem.
Cons
The fit and finish isn't that great. The interior is a lot of plastic. I have had every window motor go out and replaced. I also have a problem that the car will not start if it sits unused for a week. I believe there is some kind of power drain somewhere. Also, don't expect a family of four, especially if you have car seats to fit very comfortably. Also, brace your wallet for the gas mileage. I average about 11.5 in the city.

The personal service was excellent. They were friendly and open helping me get financing and answering any questions I had. The Jeep was exactly what they said it was and I have put over 125,000 miles on it and it is still going strong.
