2013 Chevrolet Equinox - Excellent for Weekend Warriors
This SUV can do it all! It has been very comfortable moving everything I own from Texas to California to Missouri. Additionally, the large back seat (bigger than most SUVs) is great for passengers - you won't hit your knees on the first row seats. This SUV effortlessly transitions from kayak-hauler to dog transporter to boat-tower - I highly recommend it!
Story
Road tripped from Texas to California and then to Missouri in this baby!
Pros
Back seat slides forward (flexible for meeting different needs)
Roomy cargo area
Great sun-shade over screen, so no glare ever!
Cons
Not great gas-mileage (I have V6 version) - lower than competitors
Narrow - men with large shoulder might touch
2007 Chevrolet Equinox - Happy.
I generally like the amount of headroom in the car overall. I am able to drive without being crammed as well as sit in the backseats without feeling claustrophobic. I enjoy the interior and the dashboard set up. This always the ability to easily change stations, and settings without having to take my eyes off the road for extended period of time. The handling of the car is wonderful. For being an SUV, I am able to take curves at a reasonably high speed without the fear of roll over or having an accident. One of the few things I dislike is how parts tend to fail frequently. There have been several instances where O2 sensors as well as some other electrical components failing and costing a very high amount of money.
Story
I used this car to travel across the country and was able to really get the most out of the spacious for the long drive. I was able to enjoy scenery and a smooth ride. I also enjoyed not having to fill up frequently, so I was able to travel farther and see more. It was a great time to be able to see friends and family without having to give up on costs.
Pros
I enjoy the head room and the spaciousness of the vehicle in the front seat and back seat. I also enjoy the amount of trunk space. I also enjoy the handling and the drive, as it is a smooth drive and the acceleration of the vehicle is also very enjoyable.
Cons
I dislike the frequency of electrical components as well as the brake system failing. It seems like the brakes need to be changed out a lot faster than other vehicles I have drive/owned. If these brakes are not changed right away it causes deterioration of the entire system that racks up the price of the vehicle. I also disliked how hard it was to find parts for the vehicle as well as how costly it was for spare or additional parts.

2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 -
Went over to just look at trucks as our other Silverado had been totaled. The salesman David was just awesome and did not pressure us at all. In fact everyone was super nice. we did not purchase that day but continued to look. I really do not like pushy salesman at all. Very irritating, so we like the one in Aurora and felt the price was good. So we went back and made an offer of cash and they took it.
2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD Classic - Gastorf Chevrolet Warrenton
Gastrof Chevrolet had a promotion where they would be open on July 4th. Only the managers were going to work. So we decided to go in and look at new trucks. We had test drove a new truck and when we returned the truck, Our salesman came over to tell us that there was a man trading a 1 year old truck in. He wanted to know if we would be interested in buying it. We were very happy to look at it and we did buy it. Gastrof has followed up over the years with phone calls and great service.
