2002 Chevrolet Malibu - I am grateful for this car.
I have always like the Chevrolet cars, so this car is no different. I like that it is small enough where it gives good gas mileage but large enough for my family. The quality of the car overall is as good as it can be for its age. I bought it used, financed, and as-is, so there are a few issues with it. I was forced to get a new car in a bind and didn't have much money to spend on a down payment, so I am grateful that I was able to find this car.
Story
I remember driving home from where I bought the car, and my three-year-old was singing along with each song on the radio, then stopped and said, "I like you new car, mommy!"
Pros
The positive things about this vehicle is that the interior is still intact and in great condition. I like that the steering wheel can be let down for ease of sight. The tires are awesome, great tread and even a spare tire, not a donut, in the trunk. The trunk is also spacious. I like that the door handle and window controls are far from reach of my three-year-old. I also like that the windshield is large. It is easy for me to see, not many blind spots in this car.
Cons
I do not like that this car has a short screw that connects the battery cable to the battery. If I am driving and hit a bump, it disconnects my battery. I also do not like the amount of dog hair that was left on my seats. The trunk also had debris in it. My window on the back driver side does not let down. My driver door window also will not fully let back up. My side view mirrors are weirdly magnified as well.
2013 Chevrolet Malibu - Great car for professionals
The 2013 Chevy Malibu is a great car. Very good on gas, on the highway I can average around 26 MPG and city is around 21 MPG. The car is very sleek, big upgrade from the previous modeled Malibu. This Malibu has more of a sporty look, and the interior matches the style. I had the car for three years. The oil changes were the only thing that I had to do frequently. The Malibu also comes with an impressive sound system and Sirius XM (additional charge), built-in navigation system, and OnStar.
Story
I am a stickler about keeping my car clean at all times. Although the Malibu is a 2013, people still think it's much newer, and it's always being mistaken for the new Chevy Impala. I probably hear, "is that the new Impala?" once a month. It's a pretty good feeling.
Pros
The gas mileage is impressive on the highway especially is you are a road warrior like myself. I am also impressed with the roominess of the vehicle. I drive it comfortably at the height of 6'4. The style is also one of my favorite things about the car. As well as the durability and maintenance, I am impressed with not having to get any service but oil changes on the Malibu.
Cons
The car is roomy but the seats can be uncomfortable. Also, I would not recommend getting a white Malibu because dents are highly visible. A shopping cart ran into my car, and the dent is highly noticeable.
