Dependable, economical, productive
I purchased my Silverado in 2008 after my return from being overseas. I researched a lot of trucks but really wanted something simple, economical, and dependable. I loved the color and body style of the Chevy Silverado 1500, so I purchased one. I took excellent care of it both inside and out. I used it mainly for transportation to and from work and kept the mileage low. I used to park it under a carport, but during a storm, it got ripped away. Needless to say, my truck had plenty of damage of its own. Although the Insurance covered most of the repairs, it would never be the same. I have repaired electronics, ECM, BCM, sensors, safety lights, seatbelts, alarms, you name it. Everything went crazy. Repairing without proper coding is not an easy task. That is when I learned that there was more to this vehicle that I could have ever known. When she is good she's good. But when it's bad, it's expensive. I still love the truck, but I disagree with the brain.
Over all its a great truck. It has gotten us through several winters with no problems. The four wheel drive is great year round. We have been driving this truck for years. We've put 300,000 miles on it, taken roads trips with no over heating or anything. We moved shortly after getting this truck and we're able to move all of our things with out a problem. It has a great towing capability.

The dealership worked with me on getting the exact car that I wanted, color and everything. Due to the fact that I had three kids with me, I thought it would be a hassle, however everyone played with the kids while I completed paperwork. I had to come back to pick up the vehicle, however they offered to deliver it to me at no additional charge with a full tank of gas! Also, they provided free oil changes for a year, as well as other complimentary services when it was brought back to them for service. The dealership even sent a thank you package of delicious cookies after the vehicle purchase.

We started off having a bad experience, the dealership cleared my husband's truck to be released without telling us the brake lines were almost rusted away. After all his brakes failed on the highway on the way to work (thankfully he starts work at 3AM or he would have been killed) we went back to the dealership to complain. Initially we had resistance from the shop manager but we took it higher, to the boss, his father in fact and he offered to not only reimburse the cost of all our truck repairs, some $2000 but also to give us the truck back so we could use it for a trade in. The boss got his sales guy Bob to deal with us and he treated us so well. We told him what we needed and how we hadn't budgeted for a new pre-owned car. We told him we needed something with AWD to get up our driveway in the winter ice. He showed us a Honda CRV and a Chevy Equinox that had just come on the lot and hadn't even been cleaned up yet. We test drove both and preferred the Equinox, Bob made the deal work for us and we got a good price. He has also called us several times to find out how the car is doing for us and to ask us if we are still satisfied with our purchase. He's a great guy it turned our nightmare experience into a good one. We will definitely recommend to anyone who wants a pre-owned car that meets their needs on a budget.
