2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - I like that it is an economical vehicle to drive and it also has 4 wheel drive.

My 2006 Chevy Trailblazer has been a wonderful car to own and to drive. Other than routine maintenance, I haven't experienced any difficulty with the vehicle, and it gets good gas mileage for an SUV. The drive is always smooth, and the comfortable seating makes long trips enjoyable. Even the passengers who ride with me comment about the leg space and how comfortable they feel when riding in the car. I enjoy the sun roof on those nice days and often drive with it open, even at night. The interior is nice and shows very little wear even after 10 years. I often take use of the towing capabilities and find that the engine handles the extra loads quite nicely. I like that the Chevy Trailblazer has 4 wheel drive and can handle the rough roads that I have to travel, especially during ... (more)
Story
One day we had an old medal building that we were going to haul off and recycle. The building had been smashed and compressed as much as possible with a tractor, but there was a swampy area it had to pass through to get to the road so it could be hauled away. The tractor could barley budge it and definitely couldn't navigate it through the swampy area. I was able to attach a tow rope to the... (more)
Pros
The top positive things are the reliability of a well-made vehicle that requires little maintenance and the 4 wheel drive. My favorite features include the sun roof and towing capabilities.
Cons
I don't have any negative things I feel about my car.

2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer - A great SUV for mid range hauling

The 2007 Trailblazer is a great SUV for those who need both extra room for seating as well as mid range hauling around 4,000 pounds. It handles long range road trips while hauling a trailer without straining the fuel economy, that being said, it has the same fuel economy hauling trailers within the approved range as without hauling anything, so the money spent on gas can be a bit higher than your average full size sedan or SUV. GM vehicles, in my experience, have been built to have interchangeable parts from similar vehicles, and the trailblazer is no exception.
Story
The best experience with the SUV was on the way to moving a friend of mine to Oregon. The ride was smooth and was enjoyable despite being a whole day on the road. When it was my girlfriends rotation to drive, she hit a duck with the windshield in Montana. She panicked while me and my friend were laughing at her, at the same time, we were surprised the glass didn't shatter. It was a large duck ... (more)
Pros
Despite its size, the trailblazer has a very tight turning radius. When hauling a trailer, you can hardly feel the load when accelerating and shifting gears. The wiring harness is easy to work with if you want to install your own custom radio, with plenty of room for the aftermarket radio components to sit in.
Cons
Because the SUV has two mufflers, it can be a bit difficult diagnosing and fixing an exhaust problem. The fuel economy is about the same while hauling and not hauling, so if you own this and do not haul trailers a lot, your fuel economy will suffer.

The family friendly service, and willingness to make a deal that fit into my budget really impressed me the most. I found that they were willing to go above and beyond to meet my needs. They were very eager to answer all of my questions. They were not pushy, and allowed me to take my time choosing a vehicle. In the end they were willing to give me a discount so that I could purchase the truck within my budget.

The dealership was good because it just made the entire car buying process very, very easy. I was a first time buyer and carmax just made the process quick and painless. The way they do the licensing of the car for you was also just a huge relief to me. the repaired and replaced every problem that i had with the car as well.
