I have owned a 2008 Jeep Patriot for the last seven years. I like that it is an SUV and sits a little higher than a car which gives you a higher vantage point to see. The seats in the back will fold all the way down (one or both) and enables you to carry larger items which comes in very handy. I have carried many big items from store to home with ease. I once fit a double mattress in the back with the seats down with no restrictions on vision. There is a speaker in the very back of the hatchback and lifts up when you open the hatch. You can have a picnic in the back and listen to music. It's fairly economical with MPG, getting about 26-27 on the highway and around 22-23 in the city. The heated leather seats in the front are great when it's cold. It drives smoothly on the high... (more)
Story
The Jeep Patriot is great for putting the back seats down, loading it up and moving things for people which mine has done many times.
Pros
I like the higher vantage point to be able to see more. The mpg of 26-27 is decent. The folding seats in the back are the best thing to be able to use it kind of like a truck. Heated seats are very comfy in the winter. There have been no mechanical failures in the last seven years.
Cons
When moisture is on the brake lines, it squeals for a few brake pumps and then stops. The low beams must be brighter than most cars' lights because I get brighted from other cars very often.

The Jeep Patriot is an excellent mid-size SUV. I have the 4x4 option, which allows me to take my Jeep off-road. It also works great if you live somewhere with snowfall in Winter. I enjoy that I can lay the entire backseat, or single seats, down flat to increase my storage. I get pretty good gas mileage, usually about 23 miles to a gallon. My Jeep has also lasted quite a while. I have had it six years and have about 223,000 miles on it, and my local Jeep dealer says she still has plenty of life left in her. One issue that I have with my 2008 Jeep Patriot is that the radio has CD changer and satellite radio, but no input capabilities. This means I have no way to listen to music from my smartphone, and there isn't even a headphone jack to be able to plug an auxiliary cable. I also dislike... (more)
Story
I was able to drive this vehicle in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. I was surprised at how well she hugged the curves!
Pros
Positives of this vehicle include great legroom, ample storage space, good gas mileage, great window tinting.
Cons
Limited power sources and an outdated radio.

When we first arrived they were not only knowledgeable but very friendly. We were trading in a Subaru and it was no problem at all even though they didn't sell anything but Jeeps on their lot. They really bent over backwards to make the deal work for us, even though our credit isn't great (whose is, anymore?) I honestly believe they gave us the best deal possible.
