Wranglers are not the prettiest cars, they are not the fastest or quickest, but they are reliable. I've owned this car since 2002. At the time of purchase, she was already out of date, but the great thing about Wrangler is they are like Lego cars. Most pieces fit or work for most years makes. Parts are easy and inexpensive to find, plus so many people love Jeeps I can ask any forum for help and many people will give me a very educated answer on any issues I have with her.
Story
I fixed the A/C this weekend, by myself, with parts I bought online. I was able to Google some info, ask a few questions and work on my own car. FYI, I am a woman who is not a car fanatic or prior car experience, just someone on a budget.
Pros
Can be fixed easily due to availability of parts.
Cons
Doesn't go that fast.

I love my jeep, but they are not for everyone. They will go anywhere in any weather but you will use a lot of gas going there. I have over 140,000 miles on my wrangler and have only had to replace a few parts on it. So far a light bulb socket, throttle position switch, coil pack and starter have gone. The soft top is just about due for replacing. It does ride a little like a tank but some of that is due to the fact that mine has a lift kit and larger then stock tires.
Story
Driving it in a foot of snow up the side of my yard cause a vehicle was stuck in the driveway.
Pros
I love being able to put the top down on a sunny day or use the 4 wheel drive to push through a foot of snow. Wranglers have a coolness factor unlike any other vehicle. I also enjoy being able to pick up a catalog and pick out parts to totally change the look of my Jeep.
Cons
Wranglers have poor gas mileage, mine gets around 15 mpg. You will replace tires and shocks more often then on a small car. Back seat is fairly small, it's not easy to fit a grown adult back there. If you put the soft top down often it will most likely need to be replaced every 5 - 10 years. You can't fit a lot of groceries in the back with out getting creative.

They were close to where I live. They had a wide selection of vehicles. They were able to get me financing I could agree with. They have a big service center for warranty and other repairs. I felt better about buying from someone that is close to where I live rather than far away, especially for service needs.
