great little car
Overall, I really liked this car. The hatchback feature was really nice. But the front trim thing was a pain, it kept scraping on stuff and falling off. Eventually, a boyfriend tried to put it back on again, and it just fell off. I told him to just leave it off. I started having problems with that soon after I bought the car. I bought it brand new. It was still under warranty, but they said that it looked like I had hit something, so it wasn't covered. I said, I only hit something because the stupid price was way too low. I kinda wished I had bought the regular sedan, not the hatchback, but I liked having the hatchback when I was moving something big, like my grandmas TV. Without that piece, which was just decorative anyway, it looked better and I didn't have any more problems. There was a little black left from the piece having been there, but most people never noticed. It didn't bother me much. The only other problem I ever had in the 7 years I had the car was that there was an electrical glitch where if you sat in the car with the electric on but the car not running, it died. Like, really fast. I never bothered to get it fixed, I was just really careful not to do that. So a drive-in movie was out, but that didn't bother me too much. Other than that, it was a great little car. Had it for 7 years and it was reliable and got decent gas mileage (not quite as good as they said it would) about 27 mpg most of the time. The tires were pretty expensive when I had to get new ones, though, so that's something to consider.

Better cars for the money
It is a fun car to drive. It has more zip than you'd expect and handles pretty well. It isn't the smoothest ride, but I've had worse. It wasn't particularly long lasting. There was a factory defect on the clutch, which did damage to the transmission. It became an unreliable vehicle. It couldn't be driven long distances without being unable to restart for a period of time. The seals around the windows came loose, allowing moisture to seep in. The windshield wipers broke, and the mechanism for switching between fans and defrosting broke.
