The Mazda CX-3 is an excellent vehicle, which has surpassed my expectations since driving out the showroom in 2015. The car drives very smoothly, but you really get a sense that it can be powerful when you want it to be. It handles very well and is very respondent to the drivers touch. Style wise it is top class, the interior incorporates black and red hand stitched leather and the exterior contours and curves delightfully.
Story
I was driving in San Francisco and saw a very stylish car at the intersection that blended perfectly with the other really expensive cars in the affluent area. I was chuffed to see that it was in fact a CX-3 that did not look out of place at all.
Pros
The main pros are its reliability and low maintenance (so far). I have only had issue with the car when I used Progressive Insurances Snapshot plugin. The stylings of the car are a great plus - the interior has intimately designed air vents, that do not sound like much, but really add an elegance to the car. The seats are very comfortable and have numerous adjustment options. the back seats are very roomy for a mini-SUV.
Cons
The main negative I've had is when using Progressive Insurance's Snapshot plugin with the car - it meant I had to get the battery booted on three separate occasions in the first three months of ownership. The in-car entertainment system could also be improved. The interface is a little clunky and occasionally I have had issues with the Bluetooth connection with my iPhone.

2011 Mazda Mazda3 - Solid car, fun to drive.

While the Mazda 3 is an absolute joy to drive and handles very well, it may not be the perfect car for every situation. If you plan on taking long trips, prepare to pay a hefty bill at the local tire shop within the month. The rear camber is non-adjustable to improve handling on curves but causes interior wear on the rear tires. The leather interior and heated seats are sturdy foam underneath, comfortable to sit in, and the front seats (not so much the rear) offer plenty of leg room if you aren't too tall. The floors are carpeted nicely with Velcro access panels, through the carpet to get to the audio wiring for when the amplifier inevitably fails. The vehicle handles very well, as expected from a brand dedicated to the driving experience. Even with a load of materials in the trunk of... (more)
Story
Pulled the parking brake during the first snow of the year and did a perfect figure eight in our empty parking lot.
Pros
Good build quality. Handles like a dream. Hatchback model offers more room for cargo. Good stereo with Bose option. Interior looks nice and has a cockpit feel.
Cons
Sunroof seals leak over time. Rear camber is too aggressive. Tiptronic transmission is sometimes slow to respond.
