Overall, I love my Altima. The size is perfect for what I use it for, which is as a family car and to transport friends and children. I drive roughly 50 miles daily commuting to work, mostly highway, and it's perfect for that. I've had this car for 9 years and it has been very reliable. I have had to repair things, but very little maintenance has been done and it's still in great shape with 155,000 miles on it. I expect to keep this car until it dies, which is hopefully at least another 100,000 miles away!
Story
When I first got this car, I was a nanny for a couple of little boys and they loved when I would take them to the park or the swimming pool in my car. It is red and manual transmission, so they would call it a "sport scar."
Pros
My favorite thing about this car is how indestructible it is. By that, I mean that my car has been through a few things (hopped some curbs, some gnarly speed bumps, some burning of the clutch) and everything was fine, no damage at all. Also, I've had to do very little to it except within the past couple years. Nonetheless, the cost of repairs annually is still less than half what I would pay each month if I financed a new car. So this car remains an inexpensive, yet very reliable, car. My Altima is a manual and is very enjoyable to drive, except in stop-and-go traffic or icy hills.
Cons
My primary complaint about this car is its turn radius. It has the turn radius of an SUV (need 3 lanes to do a U-turn), which is obnoxious at times. I have driven some newer versions and they seem to have improved this issue. Other cons would be that some of the things I have fixed in the past couple years, such as the air conditioning, engine mounts, and engine sensors, are things that a little bit of Internet research highlighted as common issues with the Altima. Nonetheless, there has never been a problem that kept me from driving or that prevented my car from starting (except dead batt... (more)

This car was an excellent idea. Not only was I able to keep my payments low, I now have a new car. It drives smoothly with essential features in the car. One of the best things about it is that it's family oriented. Enough leg room plus a nice trunk.
Story
The only story I have with this vehicle is that it made my sons very happy. They are pride that the car is not only beautiful but as well comfy.
Pros
Excellent Gas Mileage, Fun to Drive with Quick Handling, Beautiful Exterior Styling, Quality Interior, Peaceful Cabin, and Nissan Reliability
Cons
Not as much rear headroom as some rivals, CVT (continuously variable transmission) only, The CVT can be noisy at times with the four-cylinder engine. While upscale, the interior is a little bland. A bit less sporty on the road than previous models.

They were able to provide me with a car that covered all my needs. The car was affordable and I was able to get approved. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. There was great warranty offered. It is very close to my house so it is very convenient.
