The 2005 Subaru Legacy is a diamond in the rough market of used cars. Often overshadowed by Subaru's other offerings, the Legacy brings a refined stylishness to the line, while still maintaining the performance that car enthusiasts love. Having a 250hp boxer engine, this car is the second fastest Subaru this year, just behind the WRX STI platform. The Legacy offers a more sophisticated look and styling, as well as creature comforts like heated leather seats and a sunroof.
Story
One of my favorite drives with this car was out through the desert. The 6 disc stereo was blaring some of my favorite tunes, and I was flying through the twists and turns of a backwoods dirt road. For hours I was sliding and kicking up dirt. There's nothing that could replace that feeling.
Pros
This car is everything I was looking for in a car. All wheel drive, manual transmission with a turbo, it is an absolute blast to drive around. It does things as well off road as on road, for those adventurous types. I love the way it looks, and the seats are some of the most comfortable car seats I've ever ridden in.
Cons
Some of the downsides of this car come down to maintenance costs. Owning a performance vehicle isn't cheap. There's a lot that goes into a turbocharged engine, and keeping it running is a matter of having the appropriate funding for that. I did run into some minor mechanical issues that were cleared up through a manufacturer warranty.

2009 Subaru Legacy - This car was outstanding for the price, especially. 4 wheel drive, handled great, accelerated wonderfully.

What I loved about this car most was the 4 wheel drive feature. I also liked the interior comfortability, small steering wheel fit best in woman's hands, all controls close enough together to handle comfortably while driving. Car response time was impeccable. The car acceleration while entering highway was fantastic and the gas mileage was perfect for me. It was inexpensive to fill the tank and did not need much attention. No repairs were needed, just regular upkeep. The sound system was great too. My car was pearl-white in color which is a great alternative (living in the desert) to a pure white color that shows dust more easily. The style of the car overall was pretty. The interior was a beige color that soiled relatively easily even though I was very careful to keep it clean and the... (more)
Story
I used this car primarily for my work commute. It was just a fun car to drive. I drove it to TX one time and I have to say that the cruise control was a nice feature and worked as expected.
Pros
The top positive things about this car was the 4 wheel drive (acceleration), the sound system, the brake system and overall handling. My favorite features of the vehicle was 4 wheel drive and sound system.
Cons
The top negative things about the car was the easy-to-soil interior and tight rear seating.
