My overall feeling about my Nissan Maxima is I feel like I really got my money's worth with the purchase.
The Nissan Maxima is a long lasting car. The car has over 180,000 miles on it and still runs great. The interior is very spacious. It has a nice trunk size. There are a lot of nice features on the car such as heated seats, sun roof, and anti theft protection even for the year my car was made. The one thing that I don't care for is there being a chip in the key. Once the chip goes bad, you will need to have it replaced or recoded and that expense is costly. You can't take that repair to any mechanic. It has to be repaired by a Nissan dealer. Also, there is no warning sign that the chip may be going bad. You can literally be anywhere and get in the car to start it and the engine will not turn over because the anti theft security kicks in because it cannot read the key. Because, I purchased this car from a private owner who only had the one key, I was stuck having to have the car towed(which is an expense in itself) then I had to pay for the repair. That will really be the only complaint that I have about the car. It gets really good gas mileage. It has a nice smooth ride. With general maintenance and upkeep, the car will last a long time.
