2010 Nissan Sentra - It's good. It met all my expectations.
My vehicle is great. It performs well and is quiet, and I haven't had any serious problems with it yet. The CVT transmission contributes to a smoother, quieter ride and is still covered by a 100,000 mile warranty. The safety ratings were high, because I am surrounded by several airbags that'll be activated if needed. I love the way the backseat folds down to make room for long or large items I might want to transport, and the trunk is also very large by itself. The glove compartment is also very large, very spacious. I have noticed some paint chipping off around the trunk, though, after only a year or two.
Story
About 700 miles in I entered a car wash, and as I looked for a stall to enter, I didn't notice a long curb sticking out and went over it at about 25 mph. I busted 2 tires and had to replace them. My house was only about a mile away, and the biggest difficulty was figuring out how to get around with only one spare tire.
Pros
The CVT transmission is great.
The factory radio is good enough for me and didn't need replacing. It has four 6x9 speakers.
I feel safe with all the airbags around me.
I like the blue color I got.
The local Nissan service center has provided me with excellent customer service every time I went.
Cons
I wish some of the compartments were just a little bit bigger such as the center console that needs less than a centimeter more to have CDs fit perfectly. There's a central compartment I use for napkins that needs an extra centimeter or less, but I believe it was designed for glasses.
As mentioned before, I have noticed some paint chipping.
Upgrading the front door speakers will require lower quality speakers or adaptation to make room for fancy tweeter additions found on all of the higher end speakers.
2009 Nissan Sentra - Love
My Nissan is an excellent car; runs great for having for 100,000 miles. Enough room for me and my kids. The glove box is really big which helps a lot when you have small kids and you need to hold a lot of things in the car. The one thing I don't always like about my car is its a standard and on long drives can make your legs hurt. I have experienced some noises with the car that I can't pinpoint, a rattle on the passanger side.
Story
It is the first car, I've had that is a standard. I learned how to drive this car the first time I got in it, and had the my salesman husband riding with me showing me how to work the gears.
Pros
Color of the car;
Size of the back set that can fit two booster seats as well as someone else;
The side of the glove box
Cons
You have to have a certain kind of tires that cost a lot;
My car is a standard which is hard when going on long drives
