The Pontiac Grand am is a long lasting and reliable car. I purchased it back in 2004, and it has not broken down once in 10 years. There has never been one major breakdown of any part on the car. In addition, I do not even put forth a great deal of maintenance on the car, it just stays tough. The most I do is get tune ups and oil changes for the car, and change the battery when needed. It is very reliable.
Story
I've had the car for 10 years. In general, without getting personal, I've met a number of girlfriends in the car.
Pros
#1: The reliability of the vehicle. It always starts up and never breaks down. #2: The smoothness of the ride, it is very quiet and doesn't let in a lot of outside noise. #3: It is very low maintenance. I have not had anything on the car break that required a major amount of money to get fixed. It is not a money drain. #4: It's a good looking car, as well. It looks like a luxury sedan at first glance. Or, at least it did before it got 10 years of age on it.
Cons
#1: The tires. While the car doesn't need much maintenance, for some reason, the tires are always wearing out quickly. #2: The Windows. While very minor, the motors on the window malfunctioned and needed to be propped up until they got fixed. #3: The car is old, now. It's not exactly a "Chick Magnet" if you would. #4: The car doesn't have the fancy new amenities you'd find in a 2014 vehicle. It just has a CD player. I remember when that was cool, LOL!

While the car is clearly old and does not have things that are common in today's world, I can say that there is comfort in it. Its engine is from a place long gone. When cars were built bigger and bigger to meet power standard. What you are getting is a basic ride but comfortable. It performs slow to today's standard, but it will get you where you need to go. While the interior seems very basic, like it does not give you Bluetooth or any other capabilities for modern radio hookup, you can make due with some CD or an am transmitter. I found the coupe to be a cool looking car for its time; it was something of a smaller brother to the Trans Am, but it seemed they wanted to imitate the same style and power. Its engine comes with a v6 ram air configuration, which is the sporty version of it... (more)
Story
All interior is broken, and it kept falling off when a friend kept on pushing buttons.
Pros
It is very reliable due to simplicity compared to today's cars.
Cons
Ride height is an issue; the car does sit very low.

It was the best experience I ever had at a dealership. They took care of us. They were also very informative about their cars, and wanted to make sure that we chose an ideal car at an ideal price.
