Bought my tC around Autumn of 2012 at a dealer's auction for roughly $7,000. Knowing a bit about it already in conjunction with it's appearance, I picked it out of the bunch that was within my budget. The body style was sporty and edgy, leather seats enough for four passengers. Maintenance was minimal up until now (2014). Initially all it needed were oil changes but now for the first time since having it, it's time to change things like air filters and transmission fluids; which isn't too bothersome considering how long it's gone without needing anything. No major repairs yet but after such a rough winter filled with potholes, it might need new shocks and/or struts. Aside from the possible shocks and/ or struts any major repairs if needed would probably be simple enough to do myself. It's a fun and fast car to drive. The acceleration is amazing while the braking could be better, but handling is stable. It's hard to feel safe in a tiny coupe like the tC, especially when it doesn't have side-air bags but I think it's a reliable enough car to feel safe in.
