2013 Subaru Forester - I love my Subaru!

I recently purchased a 2013 Subaru Forester. This is my second Subaru and replaces my previous 2002 Subaru Outback. As much as I loved my Outback, my new Forester is even better. I like the size and the amount of cargo space. I love the features like my heated leather seats. A fabulous option for these cold Indiana Winters/Spring. I love the panoramic sunroof because I like to have lots of fresh air. The all-wheel drive is unbeatable when there is snow; even when there is A LOT of snow! In fact, it makes aiming toward big snow piles fun! The cargo rails on top carry our kayaks wherever we want to go yaking. There is also plenty of room inside to carry all out yaking equipment like paddles and life vests, etc. And let's not forget our trusty pooch who also goes yaking with us. Speaking ... (more)
Story
With the tons and tons of snow we got this Winter and Spring, the ONLY redeeming factor was how much fun it was to plow through big piles of snow. Wheeeeeeeee! We have also had a lot of fun taking our kayaks to different places and yaking. The Forester isn't so tall that my hubby can't get the yaks on top.
Pros
Lots of cargo room. Leather seats. Back-up camera. Heated seats. Remote starter. Panoramic sunroof. All-wheel drive. Cargo racks on top. Certified Pre-Owned so I have a warranty for 7 years/100,000 miles with $0 deductible.
Cons
There is hardly anything negative that I can think of about this car. The only two that come to mind is that I wish it had better gas mileage. When there is a strong headwind or cross wind, the fuel economy really tanks. The other is the braking system. It feels a bit spongy. Other than that, the only thing would be the car payment, and that won't last nearly as long as my Forester will.

I have a 2001 Subaru Forester S that I received last year from a trade-in. I traded a 2007 Toyota Yaris for this vehicle straight-up. I did so because I wanted a vehicle that could handle snowy and icy roads. I live in an area that is known for lake effect snow and horrible winters overall. The vehicle came with leather seats, seat warmers, AM/FM Cassette/ CD changer (6 disk). Overall, I love the feel of this car. I did get new tires once I received the vehicle, which I recommend for all used car buyers. I use the vehicle for every day commuting to and from work, overall less that 10 miles a day. I plan on running this one into the ground and then moving up to another Forester for my wife.
Story
So far, I haven't made any too long-lasting memories, but I love this vehicle so far and anticipate more memories to come.
Pros
I love the leather in the vehicle. I've always had cloth for my vehicles but I would like to have more leather in the future. I also enjoy the seat warmers in the winter months.
Cons
There is some rusting on the back window which is a concern of mine. I transport my daughter to daycare and would hate for that glass to end up in the vehicle. Also the rear motor burned out on the wipers, so those are not functioning.
