Before owning the CRV, we had a tiny car. It was me, my husband, and my daughter who used the car, so we really needed something bigger than what we had. So we decided to look around for a CRV, since that was the car I really wanted. When I first climbed into the passenger seat, I was surprised at just how much room there actually was. I knew it was going to be bigger than our current car, but it was bigger on the inside than I had imagined. There wasn't anything that I disliked about it at the time, even being a used car. It was a very stylish car that had enough space for three people, groceries, a baby seat and a million baby toys. It wasn't a car I was embarrassed about driving. In fact, I wouldn't trade it in for any other vehicle.
Story
One time my husband and I had to make a two-hour trip from Indiana to Ohio. We loaded up the GPS with the address and headed out in the CRV. On the way, our GPS took us to an empty back road and then cut out on us. We were totally lost. I don't know if I would call it fun but very memorable.
Pros
The pros to the CRV are safety and space. Having a family to think about, I need to make sure that anything we get is safe, and the CRV feels like it could handle itself in any dangerous situation. I've never had a situation where I could actually test this out, but it feels like a sturdy vehicle. It has plenty of safety features (like air bag and anti theft devices.) As I stated in the review, it is a spacious car.
Cons
It looks smaller on the outside, I didn't care for the paint, and it feels like it needs maintenance more often than our smaller car. I know that the first two are purely cosmetic cons, but outside of the maintenance issue, there really aren't any cons to this vehicle. It was also a pretty standard vehicle, so there are no added extras that can be labeled as pros or cons.

This is my 2nd CRV and my eighth Honda. The car has 40,000 miles and just got its 2nd set of tires. I am 6'5"and my wife is 5'1" and it is comfortable for each of us. At 25,000 it experienced a shimmy which I was afraid would require a new transmission, but all that was required was a flush and new fluid. I never have had any other problems. The fold-down rear seats were very helpful when we moved a lot of our boxes and smaller possessions to a different house. We would never go back to a sedan.
Story
I'm 82 years old and not a fun guy. This is for transportation and nothing is memorable about that.
Pros
Large Cargo area is our #1 positive. We don't use it often, but when we need it it is great. Decent gas mileage is good, too. It is a car that I am not ashamed to be seen in. My previous CRV went over 100,000 miles and I would expect this one to do so, too.
Cons
I'm not sure that this counts against the vehicle, but the dealer seems to be constantly recommending flushes, etc, that I don't feel are necessary. I rarely accepted their recommendations on my previous CRV and it ran fine. Other than that I have no negatives.
