The salesman Michael, was very personable. What's really nice is that he didn't try and scam me, because I think most salesmen see a woman buying a car and think the woman is an easy target. Michael gave me lots of personal attention and didn't try to do any slick talking. I test drove as many cars as I needed to. The whole ordeal was very low pressure and enjoyable.

I don't think the dealer is great. Their manager was really rude. I wanted to take my car with a mechanic, but the manager responded really rudely. I was buying a used car with a really high price. Because I really liked the car. But the manager behaved as if I was asking to get the car for free.

There are many positive aspects to having a Honda Accord. My accord currently has 220,000 miles on it, and has had zero engine trouble. It has been incredibly reliable. The maintenance can run a bit pricey on the accord - replacing the timing belt every 90,000 miles comes to mind. But I would rather pay those fees than pay for a bad engine or transmission! The car has been sturdily built, and is just now starting to show signs of rust and aging on the body. The trunk is huge! I play music, and the trunk is big enough to put all of my gear, plus groceries if need be! The car is very practical, and seats five comfortably...There's even enough leg room in the back. The mirrors offer great visibility. The fuel economy isn't great, but with all new tires, I was able to get up to 31 mph high... (more)
Story
I love driving my car in the mountains, it has enough get up and go to make it fun, and the visibility is great!
Pros
Long-lasting engine (220,000 + miles). Long-lasting body work - have only recently started seeing wear and tear on the pain. Has only needed non-engine components repaired. Has room for me, instruments, and the dog!
Cons
Seems to go through brakes rather quickly. The headlights are not very bright. AC has started to wear out.

Our Honda Accord is the 2nd Honda purchase we have made, we had previously purchased a 2001 Honda C-RV and we love it also. These cars give you great bang for your buck. The are super reliable and this saves you money in the long run. Not to mention reducing the hassle factor of constant repairs. These Accords are for people who purchase a car for sensible reasons. They aren't flashy or fancy, just make good common sense for those that just want to get from point A to point B without too much stress. If you are looking for status points, you may want to look elsewhere.
Story
The first week after purchased the car, I was leaving the parking lot at work and I noticed that I had a flat tire. It was an easy patch job, but it did make me wonder if this was a jinxed purchase. But several years later, it has been a very good car.
Pros
Reliable Energy efficient (Good gas mileage) Most things on the instrument panel or convenient. More storage space than it looks for a small car. Resale value holds up very well. Great bang for your buck.
Cons
The Takata air bag recall has been a hassle. Road noise is an issue. The reduced the under carriage insulation to improve gas mileage. It's a give and take situation. Front seats could be more comfortable. The Toyota Camry has very comfortable seating. Getting to air filter is not easy. Oil changes are also a bit of chore. Very tight engine compartment.

Overall, my Honda Accord has treated me very well over the course that I have owned it (over ten years). I gloat to my friends that I haven't ever performed major repairs on it with over 200,000 miles. I get the oil changed regularly and get an inspection done... And it always comes back in great condition. The EX edition that I have handles well and has quite a bit of "pep" in accelerating. For a 4-cylinder it is very surprising. I know it doesn't pertain to my car specifically, but other people that I know that own Accords have all been more than happy with them. They suggest them, I suggest them, and I will be getting another IF mine ever gives up the ghost.
Story
Road trips are great in this car. I remember driving across country, coming down from the rocky mountains driving east at dawn. Seeing the sun come up over the plains of eastern Colorado was amazing. Looking back, my car was always nice and quite so I could enjoy sights like that.
Pros
Almost maintenance free. I have never been stranded on the side of the road with this guy. The style (17 years old) is still "hip" and it doesn't seem like I'm driving a dated vehicle. All in all, no news is good news. Reliable, great on gas, and still looks good.
Cons
VERY few negatives. Actually, no negatives.
