Overall, I love my car. It was a new design and the first year that Subaru offered a Legacy with a 6 cylinder. I love both the exterior and the interior design. I think the outside is sophisticated and sharp looking. The interior is expensive looking with a leather interior and the console has the feel of a cockpit. The gauges are large without being overwhelming and the car is loaded with extras, such as remote start, push button start, upgraded sound system, backup camera and integrated GPS. One thing I don't like is the gas mileage. It gets less than 20 mpg in the city. I understand why the gas mileage is low - it is all wheel drive and it is a 6 cylinder, but it upsets me that in 2016 they haven't found a way for the mileage to be better.
Story
When I was in the process of leasing the car, it was in a make-shift showroom, as there was construction at the dealership. They had to completely rearrange everything in the space in order to get the car out for me. There were about a dozen men all around the car, guiding the driver out of the space so that it cleared all of the items in the showroom and the doorway.
Pros
I love the sound system and the GPS system. I also love the backup camera and the heated seats.

The 2005 Subaru Legacy GT is a fantastic daily driver. The suspension is comfortable on longer trips, and the seats hug you nicely without being too tight. My favorite part is the winter package included with mine. It comes with heated seats, mirrors, and windshield wiper strip. The downside to the 05-09 Legacies are that they are prone to head gasket failure. That being said, I have 200,000 miles on mine and have yet to have a single problem. Personally, I have upgraded mine to stage two, and installed aftermarket suspension on it.
Story
I drove it up to Hidden Valley to go sledding, and it made it up without any issues, even in hard winter conditions. Afterwards we used the seat warmers to get nice and toasty again after playing in the snow!
Pros
Comfy ride. Smooth ride. Good sound dampening. Excellent speakers. Great leg room in the front. AWD is amazing in the snow. Easy to maintain and repair.
Cons
Some maintenance items are difficult for most people to get to. No Bluetooth or Aux connectivity. OK legroom in the back seats. Average gas mileage.

It's not the best. In fact, if/when we buy another car, we will not be going back. we do love the car, but the place was terrible.
