My Subaru Legacy is the wagon model. When you get into the driver's seat, you can immediately feel the quality. It's very fun to drive, and I feel safe in all weather situations with All Wheel Drive. I like that it seems less rugged than the Subaru Outback but it is still has the room of a wagon. I think the interior is very stylish and all the compartments around the dashboard are useful. The car is so spacious. I don't have children, but I have dogs and we love to throw the back seat down and take the dogs on trips. So far, I have had limited maintenance costs - the most expensive being new tires. The acceleration is very peppy and it handles much better than any other vehicle I have driven. Braking is smooth and quick. I have no blind spots. I trust the Subaru brand very much and... (more)
Story
Any fun road trips with my dogs top my favorite stories about this vehicle. I open the back hatch and they hop in. They stick their heads out the back seat windows and create nose art all along the back. We get to the park, river, or wherever else we go, and they hop out. This vehicle definitely makes me relate to the Subaru commercials about loving a Subaru. It's become a huge part of my fami... (more)
Pros
This car is so much fun to drive. It handles so well, I feel safe on any road. There is an optional manual gear shift that makes driving in the snow a breeze. Other features I love are the sunroof, all power controls, remote unlock, extra compartments for anything you need to store.
Cons
The number one and possibly only issue I have with my Subaru Legacy wagon is the interior is stylish but does not hold up well. My dog was able to scratch a huge dent into the middle console the day I bought it. The upholstery tears easily.

I like that it is all wheel drive because during the winter and wet months my car has no trouble getting in and out of my driveway. It is a bit loud at some times with the motor and muffler but then again it is 14 years old. It is a bit low so at certain times it can be hard to get in and out of if you have knee problems.
Story
When I drive to and from college and home on the holidays I have to go through the mountains and going on those curves on a trip that is greater than an hour is kind of exhilarating
Pros
Highway gas mileage can get up to ~31 mpg when on long trips. It has plenty of room in the trunk for whatever you may need. All wheel drive for when others might get stuck in the mud or snow you will not.
Cons
After the many years I have had this vehicle the peeling on the hood started to come off and it is now beginning to rust. I have had some of the outside and inside plastic panels fall off but you just pop them back on. The city gas mileage is about 22 mpg. The all wheel drive means the tires wear more tread.
