I love the all wheel drive of Subaru, that's what got me first. Next came the interior, its all leather with headed seats, a sun roof, and a moon roof. the car looks small on the outside but on the inside its very roomy and very nice quality. I love the look of the car as well, its a wagon but still manages to look sporty. it has two tone paint witch makes the car more interesting to look at and it catches your eye. My Outback was the h6 3.0 V6, the performance was outstanding. stock it came with around 212 horsepower and weighs about 3700 lbs. the car feels very safe to drive with its front airbags and side airbags as well. especially in the snow is when you can really tell the difference with Subaru's AWD system. it has saved me multiple times from being stuck on the side of the road... My Subaru Outback is one of the best cars I have ever owned. When my family was first car shopping, I knew I wanted something safe and reliable -I had previously owned an Outback, and after searching high and low for another vehicle with the same specs I couldn't find anything better and got an updated version. The best thing about the Outback is its durability. I can go very long periods of time without major repairs, and most of the time I only need to get the occasional oil change or tire pressure check. I don't have a ton of money, so having a reliable car is important to me because I don't have the time to focus on repairs. The car outperforms most in harsh weather conditions, and I rarely feel nervous driving it on snowy roads or wet freeways. Since it's so durable, the biggest d... (more)
Story
We've used this car to carry our entire lives cross-country to move to a new city. It drove like a champ and never broke down once.
Pros
The Outback is very safe (important for me, having a son) and can navigate a variety of conditions. It can also carry a lot!
Cons
It's not a particularly "cool" car…

First of all, I really want to love my Outback. It is spacious, I can toss my camping gear in the back along with my bike and head to the mountains--no problem. However, even when I first got the car, the seals around the front seat windows weren't tight. This causes a lot of noise when travelling at high speeds or in the wind. In addition, the head gasket needed to be replaced at about 120,000 miles. This is fine and is expected with Subarus. Unfortunately, I have had nothing but trouble since. One engine problem after another for the last 30,000 miles and three years. The latest thing to fail is the transfer case (has to do with steering).
Story
Every year my family travels up into the Cascade mountains to go Christmas tree hunting. We always drive as high as we can go, get stuck, and turn around before we really start searching for a tree. This car has taken us on 13 years of Christmas tree hunts.
Pros
Spacious Roof rack 4 wheel drive
Cons
Head gasket replacement Burns oil Loud inside while driving Tops out at 25mpg
